    I used to stretch 5-10 minutes before and after a workout and always felt great but since I've been working out with someone I stretch a couple minutes before and barely none after. I do yoga 2-3 times a week for 30-45min though. That helps a lot. I'm still about as flexible as a 2x4 though.

    I stretch throughout the day for a grand total of about an hour. I never stretch before a workout unless it's legs, then I'll stretch my hips a touch before squats. Remember static stretching causes micro tears on the muscle and will decrease strength to a small extent

    This is why I go straight to pressing 75 lb dumbells as soon as I walk in the gym. Lol at people who stretch and warmup.

    got to bothering me not remembering numbers so I figured I would share. Also, not noted in this article is that dynamic stretching before an exercise does actually help to warm up the muscle if memory serves.

    So if you're gonna stretch. dynamic before exercise. static after
