Haha that's too funny. I like having some room to move around in the bag. It will be awesome for when we race Baja or whatever and are crashing in the toter. This way I just toss it over me and I can move around in the middle of the night haha. Sometimes it's hard to get comfortable in an RV full of people lol

FWIW I spend dozens of nights every year in my bags between camping/scouting/hunting trips. I started with just your basic heavy duty bag. I think it was rated at 40°. I love sleeping on an oversized cot under the stars so I upgraded to a 0° bag. The biggest game changer, however, was when I got a 100% wool blanket for xmas one year. I cannot explain how awesome that blanket is!

Those three items have me covered in just about any conditions. I've slept outside in single digit temps with my 0° bag inside my 40° bag and the wool blanket on top.

    Stuff. Also things.
Thanks, Adam. Your input had a lot to do with me going with Tepui. I'm really looking forward to getting out and using the heck out of that thing!

On another note, I know that you're no longer running a Tacoma, but I had to say that your build thread has been invaluable for me in terms of informing what I'd like to do with my own build. I'm looking forward to starting my own build thread soon, and I'd love to hear any feedback from you and anyone else.

    Take care.

Finally got my RTT swapped over to the new bases, and mounted

The new bases, had most of the holes in the wrong places... even the ones that were in a useable location (ladder securing strap, two straps that go over the cover) were too big for the screws I took out of the old bases... so literally NONE of them worked. I still have to drill the interior holes for the straps that pull up the bars, the ladder securing strap, and the two cover straps... but I was so burnt that I called it a day and will do that tomorrow after work.

Here's the tent after the roll over

I have a good guess that you passed me on I-15 a few hours ago. Second time we crossed paths- first was a few years ago at a checkpoint in Baja when I had a trailer. Truck looks a bit different now.

Mudflaps and street tires back on for the asphalt trip. Not its best side.
