Just did a recent fillup of 15.45 gallons, and the guage was a bit under 1/4 tank and I ran 403 miles on this fuel. It equaled 26.15 MPG. Love my fuel sipping Taco. Very

I can go about 660 miles a tank...oh, sorry, that's in my '02 VW Jetta turbo-diesel. I usually fill up the Toyota at around 250 but it still has 1/4 tank.

Just put on the first 460 miles on the 08 Tacoma on one tank when light came on. Mixed city highway. Great truck! Hope it gets better.

My truck's low fuel light comes on at 17.5 gallons from full. That leaves me around 3.5 still in the tank.

TRD Toyota rugged trail off road package.
ditto on all accounts for me, v6, auto, double cab, rugged trail package, 265/70/r16 baja rims n tires. i sure hope it is real because i have no way to check if my mileage is true other than the odo at the moment. mixed driving also and i usually do not exceed 55 because i use it for work and don't often go where i can exceed that.

Just wanted to bring this up, I've noticed alot of gas stations here in Louisiana have gone to a ethanol / gas mix for better emissions. I 'think' it can contain up to 10% ethanol. When I use this gas I get much worse gas mileage versus using 100% gas. I been keeping tabs on the gas mileage my wife gets in her Nissan Murano using one or the other and she get's 5mpg less using the ethanol / gas mix. I also get worse gas mileage in my Tacoma with the ethnanol / gas mix. Are you guys using 100% gas when you are calculating your mileage, or possibly the ethanol / gas mix?

This is because ethanol does not contain the same amount of potential energy as gasoline does.

Uh... Ok. I guess the odometer is broken. I've never had less than 300 on one tank. Usually between 330 and 345 with 87 octane (lowest octane in TX).

lifts, tires, driving style, etc... they all affect your MPG. He has quite a few of these working against him. You apparently don't. :D

I am in the same boat as you - hardly ever get less than 300 miles, and its usually because I filled up sooner than absolutely necessary.

Only 600 or so miles on it since new and my wife just got 379 miles out of 14.5 gallons (26.13 mpg) which left us 1/4 tank on the guage (6.5 gallons to 21). Cost us $63 to fill up @ $4.35 gallon for 87. Most of our driving is semi-highway as it's not stop and go but we don't get above 50 and mostly only 40 mph.

I'm going with the AFE CAI in the next few weeks and looking forward to the engine breaking in a little - maybe we'll be getting closer to 30!

Read the owners manual. You have a 21 gallon tank.

I've gotten 500 miles on a tank a couple of times--with the low fuel light on. Usually get 430 to 450 between fill-ups.
