Were all screwed on this and sad thing is it will happen again, best thing is the bypass like others have stated. Toyota doesn't care that they have a crap part on our trucks.

Well I put the bypass on and I'm getting the P011B code now .. Which is a known issue with the bypass. Truck is fine and not in limp mode but I hate when the CEL is on.

I get the P011B too. Now on first start, I cut it off after 3 seconds, then turn it back on, so it doesn't set. Im going to see if I can find a way to trick the coolant sensor like the how the bypass kit tricks the AIT sensor at startup. This way they'll match and not throw the P011B code. Just need some time on the weekends to get in there.

I called hewitt tech and he said he's working on a fix for it and should be out in a few months. I still have a while before I have to get an inspection.

Where in Houston are you? I am in La Porte

Awesome, if he's coming out with a fix, I may just hold off. I just moved from the Energy Corridor to the Friendswood area.

7/70 in some states for 13 and up. 2012 is not covered beyond 3/36.

Dog friendly, with dog snot on inside windows, with of course a/c! Mag 16 inch wheels from a Mazda.
It's basically cover differently from state to state, usually only 3 years or 36,000 miles. Only sure way to know suggest to first look at your emission warranty booklet and then call Toyota Corporate office w/vin # in hand.

Where exactly are these valves in reference to the pump? My 2012 just started with these codes at 60122 miles. Talk about bad luck huh?

They are located passenger side right by the valve cover, seems lots are going to have this issue once they reach 50-60k range so don't feel so bad and welcome to the club. Toyotapartsonline has the valve seat for a pretty good price.

I feel the same way right now. Do you happen to have the part number for the air switch valve? I keep seeing 25860-0p010 but want to make sure it's right. Lol

Not meaning to take this off course, but is this Secondary Air Injection Switching Valve the device that makes a bit of racket for about 1 second approx. 25-30 seconds after you start up the engine cold?

    Thanks.

The pump for the valves is the noise you are hearing. Whistling or whining noise?
