After Installing OME n LR UCA's.....

After installing the OME 3" Complete kit along with the LR UCA's on my 09 DC Tacoma i went to get the truck aligned. 2 Diff shops can not get my alignment anywhere near being "green". Any adjustments that can be done to fix camber are maxed out and nothing else can be done.....


has anybody else had this problem or know what can be done to fix it?

 

no problems with LR UCA alignment... sorry that sux

 

Do the alignment techs know that the balljoint is adjustable on those control arms? I would reccomend setting the ball joint to maximum Positve caster yourself. Then taking it into the alignment shop and tell them not to worry bout the caster being green, and to make sure your toe and camber are good and then that the caster is close to the same on both sides. That way they only have to use the factory alignment cams.

 

I took it to the best shop here in town.....not sure if they realized the balljoint is adjustable or not. Ill talk to them here in a little when i go and pick it up.

 

that sucks.no problem on mine.took longer than normal but they got it.

 

and im assuming you have the LR UCAs and not some other brand of UCAs?

 

I found this picture on a diff thread and they talked about it needed to have the SPS facing out like in the picture......if mine is facing in, could that be the cause of us not getting the play we need to get from 2.2 down to 0?

 

Do you still have the instruction sheet that came with the arms?

 

if your talking about the one that shows what positions to put for diff camber positions yes.....

 

Review those positions cuz they can be a bit confusing. Set the it to max positive caster. Then the camber and caster can be adjusted to spec via the lower control arm.
