I cannot find in my searches anyone who has installed a/c on their tacoma that was not equipped with A/c from the factory. Do i need any brackets or can I buy all the equipment new and its plug and play? For those who do not have a/c is it that bad? The area in the cab is small, and am thinking tint and a windshield sun protector may help keep it cool.

    Any help would be great!

Here is a pic showing the fake button and the lack of a tachometer in the dash.

No idea how hard/easy it would be. But decently dark tint (make sure to get a strip across the front winshield) will help a lot.

You are better off finding a local salvage yard with wrecked Toyota Tacoma that you can take parts off of. That way you can see if you have any missing plugs, if the wiring harnesses are the same.
