Kind of random, but what do you guys think of the refugee crisis in Europe? It seems like a lot of places are getting pretty bad over there. Might just be the media showing isolated events though. Gets me kinda nervous.

My 15' is two compartments with a cupholder thingy in the middle. I've looked and it is hollow underneath so modified slightly it can become one long compartment. Its on my to do list but I haven't had a chance to get all set up.

I think I would not handle it well were I directly involved in anything that they show on the news. Did you see the video of the guy who was being pushed in the street and went back into his home only to re-emerge moments later with a shotgun? I'd probably be that guy.

Politics... Unless you are asking about prepping to be in a similar situation?

I have family in Germany. It's much worse than they are letting on in the news. I strongly believe it will devolve into a war zone in the coming years. I am surprised it hasn't happened yet to be honest. I don't think we are any "safer" here, but the volume of bad guys mixed in the refugees is 100 times more than here. It's insanity to let any of them into our country and not expect sh!t to start getting blown up. They read one book for hours every day, and that one book clearly outlines the path to global domination. There is only one way this ends, we win or they win. You can't say that out loud of course, but it's the truth.

It's not really politics I don't think. I mean like how to respond to a similar situation. From the looks of it, Europe is close to SHTF in some areas. Scary.

I saw one where a group of like 10 men were following these women lifting their dresses and smacking their asses while they ran away in belgium. I got so furious. Like if that was my girlfriend somebody would not make it through...

It's not politics in itself, just news. But on the interwebs discussions like that tend to drift/swerve into politics pretty quickly, so I just wanted to have my mod hat ready, haha!

Anytime that you see that sort of situation there's risk of terrorists crossing a border. But, they can cross pretty much any border pretty much any time, so it's not worth getting too worked up about. But it's definitely worth prepping for, because if one thing's been proven conclusively in recent years it's that an attack can happen whenever and wherever. So if nothing else it's another reason to be prepared. :notsure:

As long as you don't live in Europe. I don't think you understand the volume of bad guys pouring into these tiny little countries. Germany is only about the size of Montana...

I don't know how you could prep for an invasion of that magnitude. Imagine if 100,000 destitute people showed up in Montana, in one month. Then for the next 8 months the same thing happens. Just the sheer logistics of the situation is mind boggling. They all have to eat, they all poop, they all need a place to sleep. I can't imagine that happening on that scale here. It would be like the population of South America and Mexico showing up over the course of a year. The only way to prep would be to leave, escape to a safe zone somewhere. Alaska? Siberia?

In regards to terrorists infiltrating a country and possibly triggering an attack. The influx/inundation isn't something we can prep for, unless you look at it from the standpoint of having a reserve of supplies in place for when/if the supply chain to an area is overwhelmed.

I think it should be looked at just like any other situation. A stock of food and supplies because prices will skyrocket due to suddenly increased demand and the ability to defend your supply is needed. Same applies with hurricanes or tornadoes or refugees or riots like in england and baltimore a few years back or emp or nuclear war or zombies. That's what cracks me up about the people that think we are crazy. Do they read the news? Zombies are more fun to think about than the actual possibilities but the prepping is the same: Food water and ammo and/or the other big three: alcohol, tobacco, and firearms.

When I was a kid, "zombies" was a code word that cops used to reference a certain ethic persuasion. Now hearing it constantly in pop-culture really makes me confused.
