First, wow. Negative rep for saying a 4x4 is more capable than a prerunner? Can there really be people this ignorant. At least one of you had the balls to leave your name and I can respect that.

Seriously, I can understand why people don't need a 4x4. My pops has a 4x2 and he gets around just dandy in the same city that I do.

But how can you honestly try to justify that 4x2's are just as capable as 4x4's.

    Let's keep this civil.

I can understand that a locker on a 4x2 can out perform a 4x4 without a locker in some situations. *Note, some.

But having the front wheels help pull the vehicle in other situations will do far more than a 4x2 locked.

    What say you?

And just in case. IBFTL. :locked:

I neg repped you, but not for the 4x4 thing (I agree) - just because.

Anyway, anyone wanting my opinion on the necessity of 4x4 need only look at what I purchased.

Totally missed that. Still though. To the wanker who neg repped me and didn't leave his name. Turn in your balls and man card.

Well you're a cock monkey turd and I hope you die in a firey crash that leaves your taco unscathed, and sold to an illegal immigrant who will drive it 20 under the limit with the left blinker on all the time and the tires under inflated.

Maybe in the desert? Down a drag strip? Due to less weight.

You've listed one low and one high traction environment. Sand I'll give you even though I shouldn't, cause most of that is super fast driving floating on top of the sand, but that is an honest area where 4x2 would be better in the offroading world.

    Mud? Rockcrawling? Snow?

That's what I meant desert racing. Going fast. Sorry for not being clear.

Of course it's not advantageous in every off road situation I was just saying that 4x4 is not superior in every single way.

Not true. Everytime I go to pismo with some taco guys, the prerunners are always getting stuck. Now, that could be partially due to driver error, but if they had 4x4, it wouldn't be an issue.

    4x4...

    ...ftw.
