Damn well next time you come out this way we'll have to meet up and maybe see that Icon suspension in actiono_O I know you did, the day you told me you were coming out is when I was flying out of town to visit some family:(

Oh that's right! I remember. I'll probably be driving back up there late June early July for a mountain bike trip..

I honestly love the way my truck rides. Very smooth(without being overly squishy) on road/daily driving, but again, is great offroad as well. It's funny that this same suspension on my 12 was so damn firm, but feels perfect on this truck. The added weight I guess definitely makes a profound difference.

BTW, truck goes in tomorrow for the first step of what I have planned

When will you start releasing some clues!?:D So I'm thinking that with the 700lb coils but with the weight of the bumper and winch it will balance those out and I'm hoping for that smooth ride you have on pavement but then have it preform great offroad. We'll have to meet up when you come out here because I'll still be here, I'm not planning on leaving and if I don't have my suspension done by then (which is unlikely) I'll take you up on your offer:thumbsup:

Ha ha, I did. Dropping the truck off there tomorrow morning. It'll be a bit of a process but I am excited to see how this engine responds to the intake.

Very interesting... Sounds good man let me know and I'm not sure yet. Aluminum is a lot lighter but the steel is cheaper and stronger. The 1/4 in aluminum is half the weight.

x2 on Aluminum. I know the terrain you are driving on well, and unless you plan on driving through the sluice box at the Rubicon, the aluminum will work out great for you.. Plus that weight savings!!

Yeah and that will also help cut back on the mpgs I'm going to loose just by having it and I don't plan on "encountering" something tough enough to break the steel or aluminum bumper because I'm sure that would be the least of my problems at that point. The aluminum will also be easier on my 5100s until I upgrade to the Icons or Kings with 700lb coils. Man this truck gets more and more expensive all the time!
Yeah I don't plan on running through the Rubicon in my IFS truck so I should be good then even though its been done by Matt on here. I'll go aluminum then since the weight savings is huge. If you have any trail recommendations you know of around here that would be great! No that the weather has been getting better I've been trying to get out every weekend and hopefully plan some longer trips soon.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Have you driving up to Hobart Lake yet? Always loved going up there when I lived in Carson.

Yeah, figured it'd be a little snowed in still. Might have better luck with Eldorado Canyon on the east side of town. Probably isn't any snow left over there.

Nope the snow is only high up on the mountains still. We've had some warm weather lately so most is melting off. Where is Eldorado Canyon at?

It's been a long time since I've been out there but it's out off of Deer Run Rd. Brunswick Canyon is back there too. I used to go camping/wheeling back there in my high school days.

Oh okay, yeah I know where Brunswick Canyon is, supposedly there's a couple of old mines out there.

Also debating between icons and kings. Also listening intently to Jerry's input on the icon front. Having terrible time making up my mind...

Gotta support the bumper, gotta ride nice on the roads and trails, guess it's flip a coin?

Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
Looking to run a set of 295 70 17 Cooper Discoverer SST PRO's.
    Lift wise I'm going with
Fox 2.5 res coil overs up front
    Fox 2.0 res rear shocks
    Total chaos UCAS
    Deaver add a leaf
So! My question for the wealth of knowledge on TW... Is...... Standard length coil overs?
    Or extended coil overs?

Yeah it's hard to know without riding in a truck with them. It's a lot of coin to drop and important to know what you want. Which is hard for me lol
