I need to get my oba on the truck and hilift mounted for sure.

Definitely need driveshafts! Sometimes it's not too bad then others it is like shaking the entire truck.

Nope, but a call to Tom Woods driveshafts should net an answer as well as what the factory shaft wall thickness actually is.

It's an option I suppose. I don't mind running the one I have now for Off-road use only, just want a decent one for Street use now.

Id like to have a dedicated spare for wheeling, a custom DOM DS would be nice, maybe ill shoot an email to toms or driveshaft specialist.

Yeah and I need to start re wiring everything so I have all my stuff connected.

Forgot to add I was running some errands today and behind the bike shop I saw a sweet 3rd gen 4runner on 35s in the alley, went to back up to take a picture and ran into his garbage cans so I left right away since I looked like a dumb ass :anonymous:

But soon as I pulled away a 4th gen 4runner on 35 x10.5s (love that size) pulled into the alley, thinking the 3rd gen was his I asked him about it but just a random run in (what are the chances of seeing two 4runners on 35s by accident right next to each other) But I chatted with him for a bit, hopefully another guy to come wheeling in the future. He actually knew my roof racks and said he placed in order for one just the other day, pretty cool

So Ive been tossing around the idea of selling my RTT for a while now and I'm still torn because I really like it and always wanted one but I don't get the use out of it like I would want. I have a few ideas on how to camp just as comfortable without one, or just sleep in the truck like I normally do on short trips. I don't see myself really camping that much until she is done with school and at that point I could probably afford something nicer than a RTT anyways like a AT habitat or flatbed camper or even a whole new rig :notsure:

So Ive been going back and forth over the deal because honestly I would get more use out of LT and the extra money could help fund it. For now I'm still deciding what I want to do, but I did throw it on the topper to tighten some bolts that I meant to do last time I had it opened. It was surprisingly easy to get on by myself

Keep the RTT and add a trailer to the mix. Trailer becomes base camp and truck becomes mobile camp. That's my plan.

As cool as having a trailer would be, I don't think I would actually want one. I have a pretty good idea what I want but she needs to graduate school first because it would cost a bunch of money. Plus the only time I would actually set up a base camp would be at a park, otherwise I would just keep moving onto the next thing to see when I'm actually out and about.

Thanks, its a handful thats for sure

Eh it just depends when that time comes, But I will likely keep the truck but go with a custom flatbed camper so I can ditch the bed. But who knows, maybe something else will catch my attention and go a completely different route

Ute tray with slide on/off camper would be sweet. I spent quite a bit of time looking into them before I decided to go with the Flippac.

Yup something similar probably though VMI, that way I have a decent size camper without the lost space from the factory bed. I really want it to accommodate a 3link kit with 16" coilovers and 37/40. But these are nearly fantasies at this point in life

Yup I had that picture saved way before I even owned this truck, maybe even before my 4Runner. Way cool, I'd go that route but that only leaves you with a RTT. Maybe one of these days I'll dust off autocad and draw some stuff up

Some of the German shops make some interesting boxes that have a roof that nests down on top of the lower section for travel. I imagine that with some structured aluminum panels and some ingunuity something pretty awesome could be made.

So this is kind of funny, I posted a picture of @Sacrifice on my Instagram and Tepui must have gotten confused and didn't bother noticing the CVT logo on his tent. So as of right now he is on Tepuis page as if one of their tents are on his truck :rofl::rofl:
