Well, the cop told me she's as fault. So that's relieving. Already filed a claim, waiting to hear back now.

Ya, the cop that wrote up my accident noted that the other vehicle did not yield right of way, so insurance should come back with them at fault. It would have been a lot easier if they had issued a ticket though, automatic fault pretty much.

With no air bag deploy. You just might be lucky to get it fixed. When I crushed mine I got a new radiator mount and just rebuilt the front end.

I hate saying this, but if they total it consider a lawyer. Otherwise you'll be fighting to get what you would expect to get out of it.

It will be hard to find a replacement that has been maintained, taken care of, and in as good of condition. That's why when stuff like this happens it really sucks.

Also make sure they understand how dealerships look at vehicles with accident history. If you trade it in down the road they won't give you anything for it.

Doesn't make sense. I don't care who you are.. I'm not trusting your flimsy little wave. I'll go when I see it's safe with my own two eyes.

Well, I plan to drive it until it dies, and my dad owns a dealership. I do all my car deals with him. So I'll be fine on that aspect. And as far as a see it, a truck with some small problems is fun to me. I love reconditioning vehicles.

This is the result of mine. I was able to swerve right to avoid completely t-boning the other vehicle, older couple in their 70's, probably would have killed them.

Oh man, well it's a good thing they're okay and you're okay. Well assuming you're okay. Did any airbags go off?

Nope no airbags, was kinda surprised. I'm really torn on whether I want them to total it or not.

I'm with you. I want to keep it, but if they total it I can buy a 4x4 with a v6. But the truck has sentimental value to me so.

If they total it they will also offer you to buy it back for cheap. My 99' pre-runner was totaled out and they offered me $8000 for it and I had the option to buy it back for $1800. So after buying it back I could have got a check for the difference of $6200. I could have easily parted the wrecked one out for way more than $1800 as well.

    Too few to list.
It doesn't look that bad and certainly looks fixable. I guess it will depend on how much it would cost to fix vs value to be a total loss. Damage look minimal but I'm willing to bet it would be around $3k to fix.
