I would've loved to see APC. I've seen Puscifer twice and those were pretty great show, for me not quite Nine Inch Nails, but they're amazing!

haha I hear ya about the manuals, I had a manual Scion tC before this and I can tell you for a fact it's more of a chore to shift this sucker than it was to shift around town in that tC. I think I actually burn a few calories getting to and from work driving this truck around.

HAHAHA! I hear you, these newer manuals are too easy to drive. I have a 6MT Scion FR-S and it's buttery smooth and precise, but stock the clutch is light and vague. I did change the clutch slave cylinder to a smaller diameter and it has stiffened it up noticeably!

FR-S you say .... you don't need a supercharged tacoma then lol

I wanted the FR-S so bad when I got my tC but I needed the fold-down storage space

I guess I get to go sort-of fast now so it works out :burnrubber:

What's wrong with buying used? If you do your research and know what to look for you can find very nice vehicles.

Very nice grab, OP! Looks very clean and well taken care of, a true gem! These babies get rarer and rarer each day, hope you get many years of good service out of it.

I LOVE my FR-S! I got a '13 in 2012 when they first came out and I put 75k miles on it. Last year I traded it in on a '15(it's in the pics with my Taco). I'm having some camshaft issues with mine right now though.

The FR-S was built to handle and drift, in a straight line it's a dog. You could totally hand my ass to me in a red light race! Probably the 1/4 mi. as well! Lol

So true! I love new cars(warranty!!!) and could've bought the new one, but to me the 1st gens are my favorite and I've done my research and found a well taken care of one. 164k is a decent amount of miles on a vehicle, but it's a Tacoma and it will probably out live me!

Yeah warranties are nice, the only thing that bothers me is the hit from depreciation as soon as you drive it off the lot it drops in value. Luckily, Tacomas hold their value nicely, but still, that feeling just sucks! Lol

Envy as in....you wish you had the cajones? ;)

A well maintained, used vehicle (especially a Toyota) can easily be nearly, if not just as reliable as a new one, and much cheaper.

I do understand the sense of security that comes along with buying new, my last two vehicles were brand new and having that peace of mind (along with the warranty(s)) was well worth the cost of buying new, for those particular cars. But sometimes a used vehicle just fits the bill. My '04 Tacoma with the specs it has would have cost me 2.5 times as much as a 2016 model with the same specs, and that I can't afford. I wouldn't write off buying used so long as you're willing to be patient and do your research.

Correct I have no cajones for that. Don't trust carfax reports, too many bogus one's out there. And I am just an always new kind of guy. Did not mean any disrespect.

Wasn't meaning any disrespect, I just never buy used, and have seen a few people get burned bad buying used. Can't trust any carfax reports as they easily manipulated. I just always buy new that's all.

I get it Rick. To each his own! I wouldn't ever trust Carfax alone either. I'm not opposed to used cars but there is a bit of security in buying new but I also have known people who buy new and end up getting a lemon. An old girlfriend of mine bought a car new and literally hours later it dumped oil all over my driveway and the engine was done. WTF right?
If many vehicles are cared for I would have no problems buying used because theoretically, if properly maintained, they can run for hundreds of thousands of miles. Especially for Toyota, 164k is a drop in the bucket if he keeps up on maintenance. Buy used is another reason to have a good reliable mechanic to give advice on the condition of a used car.

You could always buy one as a secondary vehicle to modify and play with! :)
