Not what I'd choose for overlanding but it will be cool to see it put to the test.

I can't wait to see where they end up and watching the first episode, the new build is always the best part.

Yeah that's what I got from the last season. Figured it would be a Panama and south run.

Glad thesee guys have some good sponsors. They are talented guys that make awesome vids. Can't wait to see how the new rig turns out

They have some unreal sponsors considering the wheeling they do is light at best.

The first season on the Trail of Tears was unreal! Now THAT is a mission. Cinematography is good and the Mexico portion of CA was cool. But to me its a little hokey. All the props in the world to these guys, getting paid to do what they love, but my truck and I would do the Alaska Trip solo.

Heck, my buddies did a month long Harley ride from Alberta that mirrored their entire Alaska route, minus the stretch to the Arctic Ocean. 6500 miles! (10,000kms)

I enjoy EO's work and look forward to their next move with a 3rd gen in the lineup.

I like that it doesn't involve a lot of hard corps off roading. Rock crawling is cool, but I think overlanding is a better vehicle for telling a story, showcasing scenery and is more realistic in terms of what most of us are likely to do on our own.

If I had one critique: they could be more subtle about the promotion/sponsorship. A little goes a long way and sometimes the soft sell is the best. This is somewhat related, but their appearance and demeanor in Central America came off a little .gov .mil. As much as I'd love to see them overthrow a dictatorship or lead an armed punitive expedition against the cartels, let's not get carried away with the the tactical wear and keffiyehs.

Yeah, coming from a motorcycling background its almost laughable how much prep and expense they put into their trips. Meanwhile some guy loads up his cheap KLR650 and does the same route after spending a couple of weeks looking at maps and buying new tires.

I couldn't agree more! However I do feel they tried to make the Central American vehicles a little less military by not having huge plated bumpers... That said, there 3m wraps are aggressive

I'm on board with the minimalist approach, I find most expedition builds way over the top.

Stock 4runner for now but hopefully a Tacoma soon.
That's because overlanding isint about 4wheeling, mudding or swamping your vehicle. Overlanding isint about going to an off-road "park" and breaking shit.
