FS: 2002 Tacoma 3.4L 4x4 Double Cab TRD Limited (78k Miles / NORCAL)

I have a fully optioned 2002 Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab TRD Limited w/ Sunroof. It's a two owner, non-smoker truck and is in great shape. No accidents, all VIN tags accounted for, no paint work. It's as original as you will ever find. I have upgraded to a Jensen VX7020 LCD headunit with SXM (Activated) and NAV with a backup camera. The original OEM CD player is working and included with the truck. No cut wires, nada. I added a Snugtop premium shell as well.

Options/Features: PW, PDL, Sunroof, 4WD, Locker, ABS, Toyota Anti-Theft System with Glass Break Detection, Cruise, A/C
Tires: Near new BFG Rugged Trail T/A's
Brakes: New premium high carbon rotors, ceramic pads and new rear drums.
Suspension: Tight, no noises
Steering: Tight, no pulling, centered wheel, no slop.
4WD and Locker: Working. Grey wire mod completed to locker system.
Recent Repairs: ABS control module replaced. Two O2 sensors replaced. Timing belt and water pump replaced. New brakes. Recent battery replacement. New rear bumper because I dinged it when backing my trailer.
Interior: As close to new as you'll find in a 1st Gen.
Glass: Perfect with no chips.
Upgrades: Reese tow hitch and light adapter harness. Jensen VX7020 Navigation headunit with SXM and backup cam. Husky floor liners up front.
Keys: One OEM key fob with key. Two integrated key fobs (remote and key in one). These are only a few months old. You get three truck keys, three remotes and two keys to the Snugtop shell.
Cosmetic issues: One small ding in the bed. One small paint chip on the driver side rear cab. One scratch on the tailgate. Some paint chips on the front. Chrome grill surround shows some wear above the headlights on each side. CLEAN TRUCK!
Needed repairs: Power lock switch on the drivers door does not work for lock. Most likely just needs the contact cleaned - I may take care of this before the truck sells. A/C idler pulley bearing is in it's early stages of going south (slight noise). It's a an easy and cheap fix.

Summary:

No check engine codes, no pulling, no odd noises and it drives great. Runs perfect, A/C blows cold, heater blows hot. All accessory items work. I installed better headlight bulbs in the OEM capsules so that it wasn't like driving by candle light at night. This truck was always serviced at a Toyota dealer. Timing belt and water pump were changed around 65k miles due to a water pump leak. Service history is available on Toyota Owner site from 2005 to current.

Has some corrosion here and there since it's seen some salt over it's lifetime. The frame was undercoated. The only issue I see is the backing plates on the brakes are pretty rusty, both front and rear. Otherwise it looks pretty good underneath. I used this to tow my 14' Valco aluminum fishing boat without a gas motor. That's it - it had not towed prior to my ownership. If the buyer is in CA, I will smog it prior to changing hands. Vehicle does not leave my possession until funds have cleared or I see first hand they are from your bank. Cash or cashiers check from your local bank branch while I'm there. The deal will be done at a bank for local buyers or by FedEx for remote buyers. Can you tell I've had someone try to pull a fast one on me before? lol.

I passed on a Tundra much like this 2 years ago, because, like you it was 1K higher than I wanted to pay.....I should have adjusted my price range because now I can't find anything remotely as clean for that price.

 

I've been thinking a lot about a scenario like this happening. I'm going to take your advice.
