    I would advise against that. You'll get a $1000 headlight and a $1000 mirror.

You would probably be better off in the long run dropping the claim & fixing it yourself if all your worried about is the mirror & headlight. Because for starters you have to pay a $500 deductible , then you have the chance of your insurance going up & there will be a wreck on the car fax if you ever decide to sell the truck

It may I'm not exactly sure how they do it , idk if the claim is dropped if it still shows up or not since no repairs were done by a shop . Still you would come out cheaper buying a light & mirror than paying a $500 deductible

I'm trying to not use it.. Shop said they would charge $100 to buff out but headlight wouldn't buff out and mirror wouldn't either.. So I'm getting alignment now then I'll go home and do my buffing job on my truck and will just probably return the check and decline the claim

I mean it's your truck & depending on how much it bothers you I wouldn't worry about the light & you could always pull the mirrors off & color match them but if your gonna take the truck on trails & stuff I wouldn't be worried about any scratches

Did they say why the headlight wouldn't buff out?

If I were you I'd wetsand it going from relatively coarse to finer grit, spray it with a few coats of the Rustoleum clear coat spray, and, if necessary, lightly wetsand it again and see where that gets you.

But then again all that's dependent on how deep the scratches are. This technique assumes you can remove enough of the headlight to shallow the scratches and allow the clear coat spray to fill them in
