How do you find them? Did you have to drill into the Mobtown tailgate skin or just use an existing bolt up point?

Hi my heated mirrors work great what I did is drilled into the Mobtown skin and placed washers and lock nut on the back side the I drilled into the tailgate itself to allow the nuts to be resesst in the tailgate that way the skin fits flush

    Glad to hear it

Okay that makes sense. Did it need one on each side just with the added weight of the tailgate skin? I usually see just one shock being used.

Yes I place one ez down on each side because I the 23 lbs of added weight it works with one but it went down a little to fast for my liking

This!!!! I followed the instructions without thinking and now my hood doesn't go up as high as I would like. It's like 2" lower than with the prop rod.

Wish I thought of this before installing.

Ahhhhh so confusing. 2 different people talking about 2 different setups for their tailgate assists lol. I think its easier if you organize it by username (sailor has the built in one, danny has the one with the hard cap)

Sailot - Sweet. Just ordered one.

Is it pretty stable/load bearing with just the one cable or does it sag under weight?
