Me too. My skids, LED's, and step rails are all forest green. The only reason I stuck with white is that's what it says on my title. Funny enough there is a '99 Reg cab on CL right now that has the similar color green bed lined on it. Thought it was the same for a second till I noticed yours being the original front end.

Nice idea. I've been thinking about doing the same for my ADS coilovers.

I'm trying to think of a softer material though just to be sure the shock can still move around. I need some softer rubber or foam tubing that I can cut up.

I love the old TRD wheels so I found some used and had them powder coated. Most of the spherical screw-in hub covers were missing so I had the shop machine the wheels to accept the newer flat snap-in inserts.

Mine is the olive drab green, original color was red. I sprayed the door jams and pretty much anything that you could see regularly or when something was open a flat black. It sounds like from his description that he had it sprayed on. That cost a pretty good chunk of change. Rolled mine on in my garage for less than $300!! did you have yours sprayed?? It looks damn good.

So funny, i thought the same thing when i read it. I rolled herculiner on mine. Stuffs only $70 A gallon at lowes, took two gallons plus the white paint and clear coat. Yours looks great as well, cant even tell the color change or the fact it was done at home. Did you take the bed off when you did it and what does your engine bay look like? Only reason i ask is that i will be going from light blue to dark blue on my new truck and wondered how far i should go.

I like how everyone builds their own personality and uniqueness into their rigs. Here are a few of my touches

My 4Wheel Drive emblem :D, canvas 'safari' top mod for the custom bed rack, behind the license plate is the hidden receiver hitch and under the bed is the truck_zpsvobcillw_bf1faf28e3eaa04f4f19dbb5b919a47b099f08e5.jpg

OBA QD connectors and homemade bracketry - both rear wheel wells

Sweet mod. I've never seen that. I've been trying to find an excuse to ditch the OEM tire iron kit.

Since it's essentially my daily driver/ranch beater truck, i didn't go to crazy with any type of color change. The under hood is still red and i didn't take the bed off. For all the door jams and any gaps that could be seen (ext cab windows, between body panels, etc) I painted a flat black. Then removed all the emblems, and everything off the truck except the front and rear windows. I took a spray can and sprayed between the bed and cab to just cover up anything that could be seen (it's not perfect, but works). Then i sanded and scuffed and cleaned, then rolled on the coating. For the tight spots, just used an brush and got it all covered. I didn't worry about under the hood so i just left it. It all depends on what you can tolerate on what is not color changed. I figured i'm pretty much the only one that will be opening the hood so i didn't care. Fro everyone else, it looks like a od green truck! I used Durabak on mine with two coats of the rough. If I were to do it again or knew what i know now, i would have added a third coat of the smooth over the two coats of rough textured. Just to give it a little smoother appearance but still have a texture to it.

Neat-o. What brand? How long have you had it lined? How's the texture/durability? Any yellowing/staining/discoloration? How did yo deal with the jambs and gap between bed and cab? Did you diy/how much did it take? Do you have a post showing your process?

Sorry about all the questions! I've been wanting to do my rockers and bed in white so I'm curious.

No fade on mine. Because I painted over it there's nothing to fade like other people's. I used Herculiner from lowes for 80 bux. The texture looks awesome in my opinion and is rough. But with it being rough b/c its got the white paint and clear coat mud and dirt never stick to it. Its been 6 months or so since I did it. No chips flaking or anything. Still perfect white with a great shine to it. Clear coat and white paint were high gloss or gloss. For the Herculiner I used a roller and brush and got everywhere I could reach. Between the bed and back windows I got it the best I could but no one can tell that I didn't take it all apart. Then when I painted over it I used the same white rustoleum spray paint color to get into hard to reach spots. I left the door jambs alone for now, but will be touching them up soon. Also the inside of the engine bay was left original white and no one can really tell. For other details this was the only thing my wife took pics of so I got it all on my "Maria" build page in my signature.

Hit me up if you have any other questions or I missed one of them.

I'll be doing this again on the new truck I have but will be going deep in the weeds with it b/c I'll be going from light blue to navy blue.

Nice very similar to what I did. Almost spot on. I was asking b/c my next truck I'm thinking of spraying the whole inside of the engine bay with the black heat resistant paint so that the old ugly blue won't stand out hardly at all. I'm just comparing notes! My top layer of rustoleum acts as my smooth layer and is holding up a whole lot better than I expected. That and if it does chip its a super easy fix found at all stores that carry spray paint.

Yours looks badass though. I love green. KUDOS.

No fade. And I even rolled on the white rustoleum with no issue. Grant it if there was any running the awesome look of the bed liner hides it completely.
