Hi everyone! Have top plate spacer question

I have a 2014 crew cab long bed taco. I want to run bilsteins in front set at 1.75 and a top plate spacer 1/4". Is anyone doing this? How is the ride and any issues? Thanks in advance!

 

Oh! And where can i buy one of these 1/4 top plate spacers from?

I changed lift plan and couldnt be happier. I used the toytec 521600 springs,with two 1/4 top plate spacers. I added toytec 2.5 add a leaf and bilstein 5100 in front at lowest setting. Just got back together tonight. Test drive was very nice without any alignment. Plush, like factory ride, not stiff!!

 

Well I already have the Billy's at 1.75" and a 1.25" block in the rear. I'm trying to figure out if going to all the trouble to install a spacer to get another .5" is really worth it...

I would really like to do a 3/8" top spacer, but that would require longer top plate studs and uncompressing the spring.

 

My local mechanic only charged $25 per side th break down factory spring/shocks and assemble new spring/shocks. Some people go up to 1/2 inch plate plus these springs with no uca needed. I went with 1/4 to be on safe side and still very happy with the lift.

 

Well I'm already on Bilstein 5100's at 1.75" so getting towards the max amount before I'll need new UCAs. So the lift from a 1/4 is pretty noticeable?

 

How's the ride? I've got Bilsteins and 1/4 inch spacers sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. What size tires are you running?

 

Looks great, rides great. 5100s at 1.75" with a 1/4" spacer on both sides. 1.25" block in the rear.

 

Cool. Now I just need to decide on a tire size. 265/70/17 or 255/75/17.

 

OP, are you going to be lifting the rear at all?
