No Heat soak? that's impressive. oh yeah its 278 hp for 2016 don't short me 3 ponies..lmmfao

 

It does heat soak if im red light to red light driving like an ass but not too bad.

On the highway towing last summer it seemed like it caught a little in the mountains, but i had a full load and was going as fast as i could get away with.

So far I haven't had any pinging, or substantial issues. The stock tune is pig rich as hell, when the trucks cold you can see the unburnt fuel haha.

 

My 2008, 2013 and 2015 all creak and squeak it drives me nuts haha. Stupid plastic pedal crap.

The 2008 they replaced the pedal, the 13 they just looked at me stupid and i haven't bothered with the 15

 

Ahhhh!!! That's the truck I wanted. Can't get it in the states. Grr had to get the 4door version short box to get the MT

 

Damn.. IF i was to ever get a 3rd gen, thats the truck I would want.

Does MTS still come on the TRD OR M/T even though Crawl doesn't?

 

It does not.

 

So the only thing that does is clutch start cancel and ATRAC? Any idea what ATRAC is exactly?

 

A-TRAC=Advanced-TRACtion control, basically it's simulated LSD front and rear, or just in the front w/ locker engaged. Only works in 4L, just like MTS/CC.

 

Good Morning. First time post from a future Tacoma owner...

Can someone post a picture of the pedals on the MT? There aren't any around me to test drive and there didn't seem to be a lot of room between the brake pedal and the dead pedal on the AT that I drove. I have size 15 feet and want to make sure it won't be any issue. I know the pedal pad itself is smaller, but the arm for it swings left around the steering column.

I originally wanted MT but then convinced myself I'd rather have the AT with my commute (~45 minutes in stop and go traffic most days) but there's been a few threads from people not happy with the AT so I'm back to considering the manual.

Haha, I'm just kind of blaming her, but don't worry, I make my vehicular decisions myself. It would be nice for her to be able to drive the truck though and I haven't had much success in teaching her to drive a manual before.

Anyone have insight as to why Toyota didn't include the keyless push button start on the manuals? I've gotten used to that on other cars and it's pretty lame to have to give it up. Turning a key.... ugh, the humanity. lol

Ha! That's awesome.

 

It's because we have the clutch start cancel feature, which lets the key turn and starter motor power the truck. I was kind of excited about a push button start and disappointed not to get one, but I'm over it now, and incredibly thankful to not have to deal with the ugly ass fob they give out.
