If it doesn't have tech or jbl that's an average deal

I bought a 2016 TRD Sport double cab long bed Auto trans with tow package and tech package with no JBL audio at Del Toyota in P.A. for 35,749 plus Doc. fee $125.00 and taxes and tags! I think I got a pretty good deal... went through the Costco Auto program... The best price I could get in my town (Cherry Hill, NJ) and surrounding dealers was 37,509... plus I got $9,000 for my trade and all the other deals would only give me $8,500! My Salesman name was Harmeet and he was very friendly and no pressure... Hope this helps someone...

Is getting under invoice becoming more common? I have the opportunity to purchase through the Toyota Vehicle Special Purchase program, but wondering if negotiation is approaching similar/better deals. My understanding is the VSPP is dealer invoice minus reserves.

Anyone have an idea on how much a 4x2 TRD sport with premium/ tech (No JBL) is going for around Atlanta?

After 3 dealership visits and spending half the day at the dealer. Original plan was trd sport double cab, tech package, tow and tonneau for 36200. Msrp was 38499. Ended getting limited with tow, tonneau for 37782 and msrp was 40229. Probably could've got a better deal on a different color. But I wanted blue only.

    CarsDirect Pricing Insights

What you must know before buying the Toyota Tacoma
[IMG]Alex Bernstein, Senior Pricing Analyst -April 05, 2016
    • 2016 Tacoma struggling with supply issues
    • Lease: Last offer cancelled back in January
    • Rebate: No factory cash available
    • Finance: No low APR deals
    Hard to find:

The 2016 Tacoma continues to be incredibly hard to find due to limited supplies because of high demand. As a result, the popular truck easily commands high prices at dealers.

In terms of inventory, expect SR5 models to be easier to find compared to other variants. Shoppers should be aware that TRD Offroad versions easily sell at or close to MSRP due to their limited availability.

    No lease deals:

Unfortunately, Toyota rarely offers lease deals on the Tacoma. Last December, there was a rare lease on the 2016 Tacoma SR 4x2 Double Cab of $209 for 36 months with $1,999 at signing— but this was canceled back in January.

Your local dealer may still be able to help with a lease, so be sure to ask.

    No factory discounts:

The Tacoma almost never gets factory cashback offers. We don't expect this to change anytime soon.

The only factory cash is $500 for members of the military and $750 for recent college grads. Just be aware that both require financing through Toyota Financial.

    No special APR offers:

Unlike most models in Toyota's lineup, the Tacoma doesn't have any special APR offers.

Aside from shopping for a loan with a credit union, your local dealer may have relationships with banks that enable them to provide competitive rates, so be sure to ask.

    What's on the horizon:

Toyota recently announced that the 2017 Tacoma will get a new range-topping TRD Pro variant. Based on the current TRD Offroad model, it will feature distinctive black badging and get a wide range of TRD-branded extras.

Note: These offers are available in Southern California, but may vary where you live. Check your local incentives with a Trusted CarsDirect Dealer »

Not sure if this is already noted in this thread, but it appears that prices are going up. I'm working on finding an inbound truck right now and I had one dealer send me the info on three trucks and the ones that were set to arrive in May had the base MSRP $360 higher than the one that was set to arrive in April.

This was on a 4x4 ORDCSB. Old base MSRP $33,730, new base MSRP $34090.

is this off the window sticker? I just did a quick lookup and the pricing is still the same when looking at the MSRP.

Toyota.com and Edmunds still shows a DCORSB 4x4 base msrp is still 33,730.

If I go to the Toyota site and build a Tacoma, this is what I see.... does it vary regionally?

    4x4 TRD Off-Road Double Cab V6 6 Spd Auto - MSRP $34,090

I checked on the main Toyota site and if I view trims it does indeed still show $33,730. It must be a running change that isn't showing up everywhere yet.

I don't think any trucks with the new price are in dealerships yet. All of the ones I can find around here are still in transit with availability dates in May.

I haven't looked at the other trims to see if it's across the board or not.

I would email their fleet department. I was dealing with a guy Greg Renwick. He was a really good guy to work with. I ended up going with another dealer out of state to get a better deal but for the sake of being close it may be worth it to you to buy local than deal with the hassle of bringing in a truck from out of state.
