Even if I could afford a Pro I wouldn't want one. No DCLB config offered.

If you really want to jump on that train wreck (transmission, engine, hood problems) why not buy used one ? There are tons of them used already because people are bailing out....
You can buy them with like 2000 miles.

I am always here, just now my time is split between Toyota - Honda - Subaru forums... :)

But seriously, if you really want to get your feet wet with that turd look for used ones. You can probably negotiate couple thousand off that thing (price of transmission replacement) and if you get certified you can get 120k miles warranty.

Out of curiosity I looked on cars.com for used 2016's and wow, they still are super expensive but yeah they would probably be more willing to deal than a dealer.

Yeah you can probably offer them $6000 less to start with. There are so many used 2016 its not even funny. I suspect its going to get worse before gets better. I think my dealer sells less than one new one per week, because they don't even have them on the lot (they don't stock what they don't sell in high volume) Which is massive difference to 2gen's where they had like 20 of them all the time.
With so many problems I would not buy new one. Just makes no sense.

Hey blueT balls, can you please explain these Tacoma sales numbers? If the two plants are running at maximum capacity and there are very few on the lot, a moderately intelligent person would deduct that that's because they sale well. Where are all these used 16'? You don't own one but your an authority on 2016 transmissions. What are all the troubles with the transmission? If you have more gears in the transmission its going to change gears more often. If it had an 8 speed it would change even more. Would you prefer a two speed powerglide out of a 67 Pontiac? It can go 75 MPH in first gear. ...it never "hunts".

I paid $200 over invoice. I never talk MSRP, just ask how much over invoice they will charge. Holdback is $750 for Tacoma's so they are making money.

Discounts...... that is all. I guess now more trucks will need transmission fluid check and replacement.
Also I heard Toyota was contacting Mythbusters to get some of their testing data to solve vibrations.

I bought TRD sport DC Auto, with tow package, floor mats, and bed cover. I believe it was 34,700 for the price of the truck before taxes

Also that BlueT is such an assclown. I am glad I have him on ignore so I can avoid reading 90% of his useless dribble

Just bought (April 1) 2016 Tacoma double cab sport 4X4 automatic Long bed Tow package and Tech package (no JBL) for $35,400. The list was $38,550. I went through the Costco auto program and bought it at Del. Toyota and I great more for my trade in than any one else would give me...IMG_0730.jpg

Trying to compare sales figures from a 10 year old truck to a new model/design is silly at best.

If I were you I would look into buying in Canada. With the exchange rates the way that they are right now you can save roughly 5k. Another guy on here bought from Canada and said it was really easy. I'm getting a pretty good deal. Msrp is 39283 my price is 36900 plus tax.

Ordered 7568 with just tow package and all weather mats mid December and picked it up late February. Paid 34,592 before title, tax and tags (37000.01 otd).

This was less than the truecar pricing in my area (Marylandstan).
