Hey Smitty, I was finally able to download the go pro editing software and you can't really hear it. Luckily I have to make a trip to the airport tomorrow. Its about an 80 mile round trip. Should be able to get it on my phone or on the go pro tomorrow. Plus it'll be easier w/ 2 people in the car. I keep you updated.

I had some noise coming from the passengers seat.. When there is a passenger there is no noise..when i push my elbow against the seat the noise would go away... Try moving the seat all the back and see if that helps..it helped with mine..

Thanks 49tacoma for your pictures. You could try getting some Mcquires Leather conditioner, put it on where its making contact. Should pretty much eliminate that issue. Drag Nasty, I went with a ride with another tech, he happens to be 6' 3" and 240. He was sitting in the seat and my truck was perfectly quiet. I have a few days off starting tomorrow. I will most likely take the seat out, insulate any contact points, especially the metal support for the bottom of the seat. I will document and post on here. Thanks for your responses guys!

I think I found the source of the sound in my truck. Under the glove box closer to the center console I found a plastic vent that had some front to back movement when touched. I stuck some weather stripping between it and the support and the noise has stopped. I hope this helps everyone else.

Thanks. I'll try that and see if it helps me too.

So I looked at the vent, that's pretty normal for movement but I did notice it was making contact with that shield under the glove box. Put some 1/2" thick felt between that. Still made noise on my test drive. I took my dad to the airport this morning, and the truck didn't make a peep the entire trip. I am condemning the seat. I will be taking the seat out and insulating all contact points and greasing all moving parts w/ white lithium. In response to 49Tacoma, there is at least a 1/4" gap between my passenger side seat bolster and the center console lid. No noise there. Do you happen to have a limited or seat covers?

Quick update guys, I took the passenger side seat out. Insulated all contact points with felt, ziptied, electrical taped the wires so they won't move. I put the sat back in and the noise is still there. I'm not giving up but it is starting to get frustrating. I just need to find someone to drive the truck while I sit in the back. Should be able to tomorrow when my friend comes over to hang out. I'll let you know what I find.

I pinpointed where my center console vibration and passenger door vibration is coming from. The interior panels on the passenger side console, right next to the seat, has a joint where the panels meet and that's where my vibration came from. The door issue stems from the lower panel layer facing the interior. My buddy put his finger on both places down a stretch of road where it vibrates for sure and the noises stopped. I need to take those panels apart and use some silicon between them to dampen the vibration at speed.

Can you post pics of the area you are referring to?

2nd on the pics. I was thinking earlier, with someone sitting in the passenger seat, the bolster would be pushed out against the center console thus eliminating the noise. Which would make me think, that its the passenger seat. I highly recommend going to walmart or a hobby store and getting some thin black felt. You could wrap where those pieces are conjoined, you will not be able to see the felt, and have no adverse fitment conditions when you put them back together. I am thinking about removing the center console cover (the entire piece just lifts up) and going on a test drive to see if I can hear it better or worse.

The isolated areas in red are where the vibrations emanate from. I can push them in with my finger and hear the panels slightly "clack" so at speed these vibrate like crazy. If I can pull them apart and use a thin layer of foam or RTV sealant I can probably kill the vibration completely. You can barely see the seam on the side of the console where the panels meet but you can find it in your truck when you go look.

Thanks for the pics. I guess we will all see what happens after we do our fixes?

The passenger door photo you have is where I hear my vibrations coming from. I keep planing to take the door panel off to check it out.... Update us when you fix it or find the issue!

I still have the rattle after looking at the seat bolster, door panel and seat bottom. I have to go over it all again

I finally pinpointed my vibration / rattle. It's the big wire harness underneath the glove box and happens around 2000 RPMs. I'm going to try and jam and foam up in there.

Did you fix the noise? Where was the harness rubbing to make the noise?

I believe the harness is rubbing the blower motor housing. I have not tested my fix yet but I will update when I do.
