I've worn it maybe 5x, still looks brand new. I have all the hardware, different spacers and the allen key it came with. $35 shipped? Would possibly be interested in trade for an owb holster for a g21.

I saw that, totally badass. This is an MKE Z5RS. Have an Octane 9 for it. Shoots like a dream, can't wait to try it with the stock this weekend.

I really gotta find some better friends, my uncle in chicago has a buddy that will stop by his house every few weeks and drop off free ammo and usually a pistol or two.
So far he's dropped off a sig 226 tac ops, Glock 19, Kimber 1911, Beretta 92, and a few other handguns, and ammo to go with each/
All he asks is that he shoot them as much as he can and clean them before he picks them up (with could be a few months) because he doesn't ever clean his guns, he lets other people do it.

Anyone have an FFL out of their home?
Looking into it and it doesn't seem that bad, next year I'll have a 40x60 metal building that will be a general shop (got many restoration projects to do) but I'm thinking about putting a small office in it to do the 4473 and have a few safes in to store inventory, and be open on weekends/local only type of shop.

Look into Davidson's if you wanna start small. You are basically a middle man between them and the buyer.

Buyer looks up the gun they want online and it shows how many dealers are in the area and the full price. You set your own price and fees, some near me vary $100 on the same gun. Buyer pays a deposit to you online, Davidson's ships the gun to you, then you get the rest of the money when they pick up.

I think it's the best way for a small shop to go for two reasons 1) buyers can compare you to other Davidson's distributors online and see the exact price it'll cost them. No multiple phone calls dealing with dealers who have to call back on a price. Buyers will typically go with the best price within reasonable distance. 2) since every gun you get in will already be for somebody, you have zero overhead that you have to worry about selling.

I've looked into it a lot. Getting the actual ffl is the easy part. Especially if you will have an office already. Just make sure to have a safe dedicated to the ffl and don't store personal guns in it is the only real thing I've heard. The atf likes to see dedicated space and not the kitchen counter type thing so since you are covered there it should be simple.

The harder part is all the paperwork which I'm sure varies by state. You'll want a business licence for sure so think up a name.

Paperwork will depend on the state. Some will just be a 4473, while others like mine you'll need to collect sales tax, a pistol transfer form, and the 4473. Not hard stuff just things to keep track of. That's just at time of sale paperwork. You also have to log it in and out of your book too.

Also remember that guns ship signature required so if you don't have provisions to deal with that it could get quite annoying. But there's ways to work around it. Such as holding at the ups or FedEx facility. Or an ffl by me who is a truck driver has them shipped to a store (sorta like a po box) and they hold them till he picks them up.

Last thing I'll say only cause my local ffl brought it up....be prepared to be bugged by people. He mentioned people will track their gun and soon as it shows delivered will start calling.

Some other things to consider....a website. Just a basic one to have information on so people can see your process and hours and all that stuff. A dedicated phone. Probably not needed till you are doing more but nice to separate business from personal. And lastly....be prepared to deal with some odd people lol.
