Hey guys so I made my order with Marie, greatest costumer service I've had by far. Went with bilsteins 5100 and ome 885 with 1/4 spacer. I got the stru assembly which I will try to install myself with the help of forums and lots of time.
I was looking into cooper tired since I won't be doing no off road but I like a semi aggressive look. I am keeping my stock rims 17" sport. for now until I have more money. What size of tires will not require cutting. I was thinking 275/70. With my front suspension lift I am scared of my tires looking too small and not filling look. 285 are too big and will affect my performance on what many say. Thank you

The problem of going with bigger tires on stock rims is you run the risk of hitting your UCAs. Here's my lift (same as yours) with 265/70-17 which are same width but an inch taller than stock.

You can run 265/70-17 on stock rims and have no problems with UCAs and also have no cutting. All that's required is possibly removing front mud flaps

Go 255/75r17 in the Coopers. They're half an inch taller than the 265/70r17 and a little narrower so probably the same weight with a little more height and they will track better, being narrower.

I was looking into a wider tire for an aggressive stance

255s were to skinny for me. I'm running 265/70/17coopers and they look just right to me. About 300 or so miles since lifting and they have performed great so far. image.jpg

Edited for proper rim size - 17

Check out the cooper discoverer s/t maxx. They're 200 each shipped from discounttiredirect in a 275/70r17. A nice middle ground that shouldn't require a cab mount chop or beating your pinch weld.

So the 265/70r17 will fit on the stock wheels from what I understand but will the 255/75r17s? Also sorry to cut in on your thread but I am trying to keep as much stock as possible to keep Toyota from blaming any issues on mods and voiding warranty. So I am thinking of putting 5100s on the front only and adjusting the setting up to .85 or 1.75 to fit one of the above mentions tire sizes on my stock TRD sport rims. Any feedback is appreciated!!

Correct, and correct. 255's are "pizza cutters" and many people who run them are on stock wheels. The reason for aftermarket wheels is to push the wider tires away from the UCAs. With narrow ones that's not an issue. 255/80r17s are a very common one.

Sweet, thanks @EatSleepTacos. Also does anyone know if the 255/75r17s (or the 255/80r17s will fit if I just do a 5100 in the front set to 1.75" and nothing to the back end?

You should be fine with 255/75 and 1.75 billies. 255/80 mayyyy be pushing it. If you really want bigger tires, get the 255/80 and if it rubs, then just bump the 5100s to 2.5 and throw a 1" block/1.5" AAL in the back.

Sweet thanks, yeah I'll prob stick with the 1.75". I heard the 2.5" setting rides a little stiff... 255/75r17s should be fine for me, not trying to go too big! Thanks brother!

Actually for those reading this, my stock measurements from the upper edge of the center of the hubcap to the lower edge of the wheel are as follows...

    Front Left: 18" 14/16. 18.88
    Back Left: 20" 13/16. 20.81
    1.93

    Front Right: 19" 6/16. 19.38
    Back Right: 21" 3/16. 21.19
    1.81

This makes me think Thant to "lean" is there no matter if you do a lift or not. So should I get a .5" spacer for the left front side as well?

Second, at what point do I need to get a differential drop?

I didn't do the driver side spacer and I can't notice a difference to the naked eye. Should I have put a spacer in? Probably. Do I care/notice enough to yank it all out and put one in? Most definitely not.

For the diff drop, that's all a matter of opinion. After lifting, my CV angles weren't that bad. I had ordered the diff drop anyways so I figured I might as well put it in. I just put it in this afternoon but forgot to look at my CVs to see the new angles.
