How much lift did you get in the front and the back with the Toytec Boss lift? I know its adjustable.

Well, im an idiot and did not get measurements before the lift. They say it comes pre-adjusted to 2.5" of lift, so on the 16 tacomas thats 1.5" above stock. So i think im about 1.5" above stock. The rear is a 2" AAL. I will probably crank up the fronts a little bit more so that its more level. Its about 1.5" higher in the back.

I am getting the same truck and want the same tire size 265/70/17
You mentioned tire rubbing on your mud guards I don't want a lift of any kind. What are my options for preventing this rubbing

    Remove mudguards front and back

    Go with 265/70/16

I want to do some off-roading and now I am concerned about the 265/70/17 without a lift

    Thoughts

Anyone out there using stock sizes - mine are 265/65/17? I hate the idea of loss of power and lower mpg. My Tacoma is great once you get it cruising, but it's marginal in stock firm in terms of power. Sacrificing performance for a "look" doesn't make sense to me, especially if there are some good a/t choices. My lift is about 2" and having a little space around the wheels looks good on a Tacoma, classic even. IMHO.

If you don't want rubbing i would stick with the stock 265/70/16s. If you really want the 265/70/17s you could maybe do a spacer lift in the front to just level it out. Maybe a 1" spacer lift in front, nothing in the rear. I'm not sure if you will rub with that setup though. The rubbing is minor when driving in the city, only really on occasion when pulling into a driveway. I have not gone offroading with the 265/70/17s but im sure they would rub alot. You could remove the mud guards or get something like the Rokblokz flaps and see if that helps. I still get some very very minor rubbing with my lift but it may be do to alignment. I am doing some final adjustments on the lift then getting it aligned again and hopefully will be 100% rub free.

No lift and no rub.... been said many times on the site, 265/70/17 or 265/75/16 (same outer tire dimensions) can be run without issue. That being said I am leveling the truck asap, got the spacers just need to pop them in.

You won't rub at stock height with 265/70/17 unless you go to aftermarket wheels or add wheel spacers

    Same thing for 255/75/17
