Going to try and was her because it just rained and its all dirty. For sure not putting any wax down because I don't have a buffer and hand waxing doesn't do much but waste time. Or I might head out to rancho early the morning and just cover it in mud.

Same here. I have a cabin filter coming and you might want to check yours if you've been parking in it.

Unfortunately I am not going to be going to the trail ride on Sunday, I've decided I need to get some recovery points before I go have any more fun. I'm going to try to make it to smokey bones though

Good idea, I've been living in a yellow haze. It was especially bad this year.

Don't want to make a big debate on this but hand waxing is the way to go. Unless you meant a polisher. Every time you buff a car, it takes a little layer of paint off. And Eventually, no paint to buff. I only hand wax and occasionally will clay bar before the wax maybe like once a year.

I am not detailing my truck before this meet cause we are just going to get it dirty all over again. And I still need to detail so I can touch up my frame and sliders from the AOP meet last month. Therefore it doesn't get full detail till after this meet. Which will be clay bar and hand wax. And it will look show room quality every time.

And I added this to make my rant even longer:cheers:

I just put the wax on and rub it right back off by hand. It takes forever but all I have is time. I probably meant polisher and not buffer, I'm not good with names as you could see from my todd/tim mix-up.

When I purchased my truck the paint was in rough shape. It had a lot of oxidation and swirl marks all over it. It was easy to remove with the DA buffer/polisher and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound. That stuff works miracles and smells like fireball. It turned my haze cloud roof into glass.

Finish her off with Klasse glaze sealant and some p21s carnauba wax. Just the thought of those fat water beads gets me excited. Might have to go out and run the hose on the truck for a few minutes before bed time.

Klasse is what I run too. Great stuff and stands up to the Florida sun. I have four coats of the high gloss sealer topped with a wax. Much easier to apply with a da polisher and a jewling pad.

I am a car guy that loves meets, shows, and racing events; having your truck in show room quality condition is how I do things, I don't know how everybody else does things.

This will be my first meet with Tacoma World.

I'm a regular guy with a truck. I washed my truck a couple of days ago. I wouldn't bet on my washing it again before the drive, but it might happen. It's due for a wax this year. The paint's in good condition, but I have to credit the Toyoguard cleaner/sealer than my efforts. My truck is 10 years old with at least one ding or dent per major body panel.

I won't judge those who detail their trucks, and won't hang around if people judge my lack of commitment to vehicular fastidiousness.

Much more cool things to consider and debate, such as neat toys and gear, where to go and what works.
