Kings beat 'em all over the ice pretty good. Interesting enough most the calls went duckies way all night. Bunch of missed calls on them. Then old red face had to call timeout ... too bad it did no good.

The only luck was the 1st goal, as Schenn was hit in-between the numbers along the boards (classic boarding) yet it wasn't called, allowing the big nose with an open shot.

 

Yup ... nice to see red-face admit they were outworked the whole game. They suck and if not for special teams they're screwed.

As much as I would love to see Thornton get the monkey off of his back...as he deserves. They will need to play much better defense than they did tonight to get out of the Pacific.

 

I'd like to know how a "fix" is in?? And what it has to do with the new rink. Even with the ridiculous shit show that the Oilers have produced over the past 10 years - they sell out every game. And there's a waiting list - a mile long - for season's tickets.

If they do win that stupid #1 pick - they better trade it for a real hockey player. That's my hope!!

 

My hatred for all things fLames is very well known. But I would be out there, shovel in hand, to help move things along. If I could!!
I would WAY rather see my tax dollars spent on amazing facilities like this. That encourages the Sporting World - and pushes a healthier lifestyle.
Too bad stuff like this gets so bogged down in bullshit!!

 

I think most calgarians support the idea... they just dont support tons of tax-payer money towards it.

When the largest hurdle to funding is the current socioeconomic situation it's hard not to mention politics. However I never made it about the politics.

 

All I know is when my checking account reaches zero, I can't keep spending and writing checks. It's called fraud for the people and includes prison time. Gov't will just tack the number on the deficit .... you know, that giant "get out of jail free card" !

It was a joke on Bettman nothing to do with the Oil. That guy is loving this right now. Guaranteed US team winning the cup and loves teams who put new stadiums up. They put a lot of pressure on the Flames now due to the age of the facility but the spot they want to put it is a crap location. The clean up alone is ridiculous and should have been put on the creasote company to do the job not the tax payers. Geez half the damn dome is brand new considering how much was done after the flood.

 

All is not lost Shark fans, the silver lining of losing last night, is you will probably start the playoffs in Anaheim. I for one believe you will have no problem with the likes of fairy perry & co.
