Good to hear. Plan is to get the right ends and a longer drive shaft for the front then just have a local shop shorten them. Its always cheaper for them to shorten them to lengthen them.

I shimmed the carrier bearing down a touch to improve the angles and had the first section shortened for my crawler and it works perfect.

Back when my truck was a little more normal I got minimal vibes and could run 85 no problem. Now I'm running a crazy pinion angle and a fj80 rear (offset third) and I honestly don't know if I have drive line vibes since I can't go over 53 mph without things going crazy because of the tires not centered on the beadlocks.

    Looks good!

As for the price, i didnt notice any difference between lengthening and shortening (have to do both with the crawler) at a local shop that didnt even know what a rockcrawler is. I found a shop that our mechanics used to rebuild truck drive lines, and i think that helped reduce the price, our little PTO sized drive shafts are child's play compared to an 18wheeler lol.

Had mine up to 80 with the other day. tires aren't ballanced but 4 link and full hydro keeps them big tires from getting out of hand.

mean while i use the drive line for traction.

Question for all y'all. I'm getting ready to order my high steer kit. Between TG and Marlin, which would you get and why? Any other OTS options out there that I should consider?

I still think marlin is a better choice. joints are better and trunion pins are made of a stronger metal.

Should have mentioned it's for my 85 pickup too. I'm leaning towards Marlin for sure. Thanks for the input.

I have marlin but i bought it used and wasnt really looking. If you ever plan on getting a trunion eliminator kit you cant use marlin arms. So keep that in mind. I wanted to eventually get that eliminator kit, but hey it is what is.

6 shooters are pretty sweet if you have the money, or the keyed fror arms if you have even more $$$.

I had the TG high steer kit way back in the day ended up replacing every single piece with marlin parts as they failed and never had problems again. Then again TG has brought their quality up tons since i had that stuff.

I have TG high steer and haven't had any issues. I'm running single ended full hydro with the arms drilled out for heims
