    That's putting it... Politely.

His products are good. I've owned many. The industry has developed extensively and there's better stuff out now. It's just that he's not nice to others in the outdoor industry...

That's too bad. Luckily I only own one of his products, but I won't support him anymore if he's like that.

Don't judge him on my experience with him. That's not fair. Like I said, his product is good.

The tarp I posted is made by a good friend. I've tested most of the prototypes getting to this one. And his hammock and fly are ridiculous light!

But there's also many other great small businesses making great hammocks, taros, UQs and such.

If a vendor treated someone bad, I don't support them. Just part of being in the sales world.

It looks like we have a few left in our warehouse but they aren't on the website anymore. If you really want one PM me and I'll see if I can make it happen.

That looks like tons of coverage. Perhaps I will invest in one.

Warbonnet makes some good looking stuff. If I ever buy a hammock for camping I'd probably go with their stuff.

The Blackbird is awesome! I love the foot box feature. It adds the best little touch of comfort!

After much research and deliberation I ended up ordering an RTIC cooler earlier this week. I liked everything about the yeti coolers except their cost and RTIC was the next closest thing at half the price. There were a couple other brands out that that were close but they haven't been around all that long and I didn't want to gamble on quality. Down side is they are backordered until late May...but it really doesn't get hot in MT until June so I can keep using my old coolers until then.
Figure I'll cash in my dividend at REI as I don't need anything else surprisingly. So $200 for hte cooler less $120ish dividend = $80 out of pocket

Will report back once I have a chance to use the cooler and leave it locked up in the car at a trailhead in the sun for a day.

Edit: I am an idiot and can't read.

I have a Bison Cooler (formerly Brute Coolers) myself. They are local to me (warehouse is right down the street), and made in the USA!

I looked at Bison - little pricy still. There's a newer company out of WA (I think) called outfitter coolers. I liked the looks of them but they're fairly new so I steered clear. I take care of my stuff but I want to know that its going to hold up over time.
Most things in life I have no problem with "generic" brands but most all of my camping gear is name brand stuff. I shop around, wait for sales, do what ever I can to save a buck but I'll pay for a known brand even if it costs more just so I know I'm getting something from a company with a good track record.

I very nearly bought a Pelican. But I went to go look at the Bison in person and pulled the trigger. Since they're local and made here I said screw it I'll buy!

Anyone use a cot in their truck? Specifically the Oztent cot. Wondering if it will fit in my LB.

I heard RTIC coolers are made by the same people that started Yeti.

I have not seen one in person, but they are said to be the same.

I'd like to hear how yours works out - once you get it. ;)

They had/have a 5 year warranty that was changed to 90 days and subsequently changed back to 5 years. They also allegedly stole Grizzly Coolers design of their soft side cooler while in China looking at factories.

I'd be curious to hear about the RTIC cooler too! I had a $200 gift card to Cabelas so I picked up a Yeti Hopper 30. I recently took it to Hawaii and it held ice for 3 days in the heat, and that was putting drinks in it each day! I wouldn't have bought it without the gift card and would have ordered the RTIC though. I still wanna get a smaller soft cooler and like the RTIC because it has a square top for easier access.
