    So I wound up going to the stealership to buy a new TPMS sensor ($78) and had it associated / annotated to my warranty (bought sensor at same stealership I bought the truck from) so it would be covered under my extended warranty. I then had everyone and and their cousin to get quotes from. Walmart had the best deal for unmounting / mounting current undersized spare, installing sensor on steel wheel and programming the sensor to the truck ECU. Dealership wanted $100 to program, Discount + Big O wanted $19.99 but Walmart did it for free, only $4.99 to install sensor ! ! !

    Big O sold me a Hankook LT400 285/75-R16 for $109 mounted/balanced/road hazard for $139.00

    There's a ton of background here as I had a 2012 steel wheel, my truck is an 07 and 07 steel wheels had a different angle for the valve stem seat/sealing surface for the TPMS. Had to go back to the dealership explain I have a 2012 spare steel wheel, which requires an Alloy Wheel TPMS (seat angle is different) so that it would correctly mount up and seal into the steel wheel.

    In Summary
    2006 Early 2009 Tacoma Spare Steel Wheels Require - Steel Wheel TPMS
    Late 2009 Tacoma Spare Steel Wheels DO NOT Require TPMS - NO Longer Equipped.
    2010/2016 Spare Steel Wheels if Used on Early 2009 or EARLIER Tacoma Require ALLOY Wheel TPMS
    ALL New TPMS Sensors MUST Be Programmed To Vehicle ECU
    Simply 'Resetting' by using button located underneath on the steering column will only change tire pressure threshold for when to signal ECU tire pressure is low - It WILL NOT Program A New Sensor.

    Bought a used camper shell and the roof is sagging. It has Yakima tracks on it. I was thinking of removing the tracks and bending a curve in them and then maybe getting some flat stock, bending a slight curve in them, and making some stiffener cross rods which would mount inside the shell through the Yakima track bolts. Seems easy enough right?
