It may be a small truck but the pedals are full on truck pedals. No car spacing here. If you can't drive a Tacoma because of pedal spacing you can't drive anything (except maybe a Mack) because of pedal spacing.

Oh, that doesn't look bad at all. Definitely over further than on the AT. Especially the arm with a different contour. The MT one hugs much closer to the steering column.

Here's a pic I took of the AT after a test drive for comparison...

Yeah the MT is very different. Smaller dead pedal, smaller brake pedal. Even the OEM and aftermarket all weather mats are crafted different because of it.

I have both. I guess it depends on if you are in traffic ALL the time, manual then does not equal fun. Or if you live in San Francisco. It's like risking your life every day driving up and down those hills with a MT.

Test drive the M/T put your fiot down and keep your shift points over 3k RPM, won't be a long test drive before you are signing papers.

I also get 18.5-21.5 mpg. Completely satisfied (aside from my truck being a vibrator), would never get an auto at this point.

Totally agree, that power band never ceases to make me giggle. And I wonder why nobody likes riding with me anymore.

Although that may also be due to my truck being a vibrator as well :)

No manuals to test drive around here. Every dealer says they won't bring one in unless they have it sold. Closest one is about a 3.5 hour drive and is that horrible quicksand color. I know... some people like it. I am not one of them. lol.

You'll love it either way. I bought mine before it landed and it did not disappoint. You can always back out if you order and test drive on delivery, it'll still sell to someone else.

I got my 6 MT because it was the only tacoma that would stay in the dealership for longer than a week. The local dealers could not keep them in their lot!! The tacoma i got was sitting at the dealer for 3 months.. Got a pretty good deal I hope lol paid 20K for the sr5 4x4 access cab with 50K miles on it. The inside was clean as a whistle and I am totally in love with it!!! I could not picture my self rolling in an automatic.. .

Agreed. People are bitching about the engine constantly. What they should be bitching at is transmission programing. No doubt the tranny is good, it just needs a proper programing. Although the advantage to an M/T is you have a variable programming by you completely on the fly and how you want.

I have no sympathy for the dissatisfied automatic owners. The MT is the best thing about midsize trucks.
