Anyone have any info on the led light switch? I know a lot if people buy the one off Amazon. But what size if I'm going to put it on the left side where the spare is? Also, how do you get that blank one out??

I'm waiting on my shell still, but I threw in a quick and dirty tailgate mat to help give the dogs some traction when getting in. Simple $12 runner from Home Depot, easily replaceable as needed.

    Hey guys,
Just wondering. Eventually, this is gonna be a big ass thread. I think it would be a good idea to separate this thread into sub threads.

Actually neverMind, I'll just drink my beer. #hefeweizen

So before I bought my Tacoma I had a JK that I really enjoyed but didn`t love. Knew I wanted to go back to a smaller 4 door truck. Had a Frontier for a few years before that and liked the size but meh. Started shopping and looked at new Frontiers but they looked identical to the one I had, even the 16`s. GMC Canyon is a very nice truck and I love Chevrolet`s hence my 62 Belair but I worried about long term reliability. Looked at used Tacoma`s and really liked them and the fact that Toyotas run forever. Almost bought a 14 but couldn`t get what I wanted for my JK in the trade. Saw the 16 and that big grill and thought what the hell. I guess what I`m getting to here is that I love this truck. I love the new body style and the way the front end looks f`n aggressive compared to the 2nd generation. The mods available are great and of course more to come. Just an all around badass looking vehicle. I am definitely bias towards the 3rd gen since it`s my first but am I wrong? Put a couple grand into it since Feb 29th with no regrets. If I`m wrong about this tell me why. Posted here because I love this thread and this sight.

I have a gripe. Several people on here have said how easy this tranny level check is, but I have yet to see anybody post a video on YouTube doing this procedure. Until I see a video. I'm not believing any of you that say it's that easy. End of gripe.

What type of AVS visor did you install? Internal or external mount? If internal mount does it interfere with window (binding?) or add wind gap for more wind noise? Thanks for any info you can provide.

Nice! I actually bought it back from a guy I sold it to about 2 years ago. Funny how things work out. I'll be going back to Fayetteville for Bikes Blues & BBQ

I notice a slight wear with them getting in and out of the truck. The stance being higher or the edges of the seats are more pronounced. Like the 95 4Runner seats. Excessive wear on Wet Okoles.

These are the in-channel. I'm supposed to leave the windows up for the next couple days for the adhesive to set, but in the initial testing, the windows rolled up just fine. I can't attest to any wind noise, but I didn't see anyone mentioning any issues in the reviews I read. I figure these will be better than the weathertech visors since they seem as little more streamlined.

If the 3rd gen is the same procedure as the second gen it is a PITA without a Scan Gauge or such as you need to hit a certain range in tranny temp to check it. With a Scan Gauge you simply drive it around a short bit, get the tranny up to temp, pull the fill plug and if you get a small dribble all is good. Real easy with a SG to show the temp. Without one there is a real convoluted procedure to get the tranny temp light in a check mode, but as stated it is a PITA... With the 3rd gen having a new tranny you might not be able to get the correct code to set up a scan gauge so might be stuck with going to the dealer. Took a long time before SG came out with the stuff to program the x-gauge to check tranny temp.

I do love my sport but im thinking about putting the offroad coils/struts in it, when taking a turn down the highway the sport leans, due to inersha or blah blah absorbing it better. But i liked the stiff feel and how level my offroad was when cornering.

I have the inchannel avs visors, there is a difference in sound compared to stock but its not that bad. No rubbing issues and never stopped the windows from going up.
