    New here guys. But those of you running the 5100's at .85 w 887 springs, has it made the ride too stiff? I am looking to do the same setup on my new 4X4 DBC, but wanted some more insight before I go and buy everything. I run 98% hwy as this is my DD, so I wasn't sure if I would have any issues with the CV's binding, if its more of a concern with ripping boots I was thinking about the aftermarket boots on them. Just like the height of guys running this setup. Any info is much appreciated.

    Well we built this truck for a customer but yes we did have to do the cab mount chop in order for the 285/75s to fit correctly. He uses the truck a lot and its been back in for various things but tire rub has yet to be an issue. the 2016 Cab mounts are considerably larger than the 05-15s

    Do you remember what part number was on that wheel? It was a 4.5" backspace? working on fitment details. I am gonna take a look at those for sure.

    No problemo... here's the wheel info right off the box and here are 2 shots showing how they fit under the fenders. Don't know the backspace offhand but I think you can find that on Fuel's website with the model number.

    My stock '16 sr5 dbl cab 4x4 has some wicked drivers lean. Started with just the front driver side was about 1/4 lower then passanger side. Now ive noticed the rear is very pronounced!. These are current measurements.

    FD = 20.75" FP = 21.25"

    RD = 21.75" RP = 22.5"

    The truck has 4000miles now...its drives me nuts to walk out and see it from the back bc of the lean.

    So no, Toyota still has not addressed the drivers side lean.

    ToyTec offers the front 1/4 top plate as well as a rear 1/2 shim to go under the leafs...... I dont plan on lifting anytime soon or atleast untill i can afford to do it right with a Boss kit etc...

    Does anyone have any experience with these ToyTec drivers lean fix.??

    Looking over this thread, was that a 2 1/2" spacer lift and did your front end hold up ok? Just installed some on mine and a bit worried about it holding up with the extra down travel.

    You can check my build. I'm running 5100 at 0.85 and 887 springs. Definately a tad but stiffer than stock but not bad considering I'm also running 285s.

    285 is not what would determine comfort of your ride. Do you have E or C rated tires? 10 ply or 7? this would make difference in your ride. When I did lift with stock tires it rode same as stock when I got E rated tires, that made a lot stiffer ride. If I had to do it again I would go with C rated tires

    E rated. 10 ply. But I don't mind the stiffer ride really... It's not a night or day difference and I prepared myself on what to expect before I spent almost $3k on suspension, wheels and tires. No regrets on my decision. Different strokes for different folks! I had a jeep with 37" mt and about 10 different lowered vehicles in the past... So I came to like a stiffer than factory ride... But for what it is, my setup on the taco is superior to my past vehicles...

    Explain the 2.5 degree sweet spot please. Is that stock setting?

    From what I understand that is where the Tacoma alignment gives you the best of all worlds. Tire clearance and drivability. I do not know what my truck was set to from the factory, did not do a before alignment. I can say that the truck tracks straight, returns to center and does not wonder at highway speeds. Basically drives as it did stock. I previously had a 4runner that I did not use arms after lift and it would not return to center with caster maxed as far as it would go with the stock arms. After taking it all back apart and installing upper arms it was back to normal. This being the main reason I did not take the chance with this truck. Hope that helps you.
