So :jellydance: right now. Congratulations cheech! I soooooo want to join the solar movement, it's just a lot tougher to justify because of where I live (northeast US in the woods).

I've wanted to do some solar for years, but the initial expense and years to recover costs are too much. May try to start small and get a panel to supply a small pump in my creek, pumping water into a tank.
Anyone else getting scammers posing as IRS phone messages?

    evening boys

:woot: for tax refunds and going solar... don't know that it's much of an option for me.... love my trees that shade the house

Carl, I'm on battery #4 in my '08. First 2 were Toyota and each lasted about 2 years. Went to Autozone and got whatever battery they have - having a senior moment and can't remember what it is. Had the same kind in my Camry and it lasted 9 years. Replaced the last one in the truck when I was getting ready for a road trip and wanted to know it wouldn't fail me on the road. If I'd been staying here, I'd have kept it a while longer.

    Sue!
I would say the battery I replaced was the original from "09", since it was made by Johnson Controls.
I was not having any problem with it, but figured it was 7+ years old and time to replace. I don't need to get back to the truck in the early AM after fishing, and find out that the truck won't start.

    Hi Sue..
Have you put your tender on also ?
Did you know there is a pro rate system for batteries?
Two year old batteries failing would get you money back for sure.

We are are doing a crap load of these recalls now. Not good. Everybody backs, wrists, shoulders, are killing us. Really effecting people's health. Especially the older guys. People have no clue on the physical demands this work takes.
Four on the books today. Only 3 will get done. One is scheduled an hour before we leave. Idiots...
    Be safe all.

Hi Mike I have and I have used it. Charged the battery right up. Thanks for the tip.

the first battery was covered under warranty at the second dealer I went to. The dealer where I bought the truck wanted to charge me for it....

Second time I had it replaced, I was no where near a Toyota dealer.

:( Take care of yourself Mike!!!

Sure makes me glad I bought that lifetime battery for the 66! Just go out and buy a battery, any battery, send them the bill, and Sunoco pays for it! :D
    Can't beat that!
Even makes me feel better every time I think about how they tried to get out of honoring the warranty, and then the FTC stepped in. Chalk one up for the little guy, that don't happen too often!

    Messenger pigeon. :)
Received my RCI Metalworks sliders and gas tank skid plate, the sliders are sure heavy, the skid plate is aluminum. Used some jack stands and got one postioned, but have to move some wiring out of the way on the frame.
Got part of my garden planted and the next morning found fresh gopher mounds where I had planted. So, set a trap, went on a backpacking trip from my yard, 90 minute hike was all, back this AM, checked my trap, got a gopher, plus there was no new activity. I saw one Dogwood in the woods that should be "blooming" in the next week or two, depending on temperatures.

 sixtys. Snowing here, an inch or two on grassy areas and tree branches. W.T.A.F.

This is my fault; I broke my "Thanksgiving through tax day is snow season" rule and took the snow/ice scraper out of the Taco last week. My apologies everyone!

It was 70F on Thursday where I live in CA, much cooler today though. Snow level was way up there, 8000' they were saying earlier, or was that a week ago? I keep my ice scraper in my vehicles year round, never know. Don't want to forget them some day when you really need em.

Got my sliders on the truck, had to redo the drivers side twice, not like you can hold the thing up and see how it will set. Each one is around 70 lbs. Passenger side was much easier, only had to temp remove one item then bolt back when the slider was bolted on. Not easy for my age, working off the garage floor. Thinking would have been better to take to a tire shop to install. My neck and back don't like that stuff. Still have to drill an extra hole on each side on the bottom for another bolt so if I ever use the sliders to jack on, it will be solid. Don't know what the extra washers are for. I thought the one washer went under the bolt, and the one that is partially cut off on one side goes under the nut. :(

Took enough sand and dirt out of the carpet to start a lawn.
All cleaned and ready. I hope next weekend is the time to get it wet.....
Been to long waiting for good weather.

    Very nice boat Mike.
Guess to install my gas tank skid plate, I need factory tank straps, will have to see what Toyota wants for those. At least my neck isn't killing me or any vertigo after Saturdays work.

Vertigo sucks. Working under a dash will set mine off.

How do you explode a trolling motor? Giving the boat motor extra boost when leaving the start line? :)

(remember it was stowed in the travel position )--- :notsure:
