    Hello Everyone!

I just bought my 2016 Tacoma three days ago and it is awesome! I was a GM guy before by can safely say Toyota makes the better product. This is the first new vehicle I've ever had, my last car was a 1996 Chevy Blazer, which was great but was starting to go and I wanted something more reliable.

Everytime I get behind the wheel of my Tacoma I can't help but smile. I keep trying to find excuses to take it out for ride. I look forward to making more my own!Tacoma.jpg

Welcome to TW, congrats. What motor and trans, I love the stripped down rigs, it is what used to be loaded.

It has the 4-cyclinder 2.7L engine 4x4 with the 4x4 trans. I would agree that its nice that the SR has some features that used to be considered luxury.

Tires, soon to be shocks, bushings, and bull bar. No lift, not needed.
Congrats on the new buy! I'm curious, what made you decide to go with the 4cyl instead of the full V6? Does the smaller engine come with more features to increase power? I'm sure it's still plenty strong

As far as I can tell there isn't much to increase the power, but it still has plenty of get up and go! I went with the 4 because it provides a little better fuel economy and I don't need to hall any thing heavy enough to require a V6. Plus the 4 has a little bit better of a reputation, from what I had gathered.
