It's the kind of thing you gotta love. I knew the resale on these trucks was great....but checking prices from the usual sources....this truck is listed to anywhere from 1500-2000 over what I paid in 2012. Kept it stock with no mods. 31k miles. Perfect condition. Of course not all situations are the same but it seems to be the rule rather than the exception. Not that I'm gonna sell mind you.....

Installed Cooper At/3's (265/70R16) and ProComp 7089 Rims. Tinted front windows. Did the Fog Light Anytime mod. Did the tailgate mod. Added running boards. Adding sound Deadening from RAAMaudio. Replacing stock speakers with Polk Audio DB6501's.
I bought a 2013 4 cyl single cab basic 4x4 truck in Dec 2013. I paid $18,184 for it (before taxes/fees). In Dec 2015 I traded it for a 6cy access cab SR5 4x4, The 2013 had 3200 miles on it. I was given $18,500 in trade (plus they discounted the 2015). So I too am a believer that they hold their value.

If history is any indication, you're due to trade the access cab in for a TRD double cab in 2017, and get your money back on the 2015!

I had a an 02, acc, 2.7, 5spd,SR5 . Sold it last Sept for $8000. With over 200000. mi. Bought in new in 02 for $22,000.00. $14,000.00 over 13yrs not to bad. People at work asked why I bought another Tacoma, duh! I could have gotten more for it but I really liked the kid that bought it, he knew he was getting a good deal, and a good truck. Just good karma, some guy offered $9000.00, said it was sold.
