The bumper is done and ready for install. One last pic of the old booty for nostalgia's sake. Flex game - weak.

New booty. I'll get some better pics after I get my license plate mount finished up this week.

I've been running around for almost 2 years with no license plate lights *knock on wood* with no ticket. My thing is, if they're close enough to notice I don't have my liscense plate lights, then it's night time and their headlights are on my plate and would outshine them to where they couldn't tell anyways. Lol

Thanks man. I'm pretty tickled with how it came out.
Well hello Zack! Yea, I'd say the chances of getting pulled over for that are very slim. It's probably the type of deal where they would just add it on if you got stopped for speeding. I'd rather have the peace of mind knowing I'm legal.

This is true. Does that plate thing you ordered have a spot for them?

Yes, it comes with a LED that sits right above the plate.

I got my TG plate holder from Low Range Off-Road installed. It's nothing fancy, but it does its job. I had to go to a 10" drop hitch with his bumper. The receiver is roughly 5" higher than the stock location.

    Irony, oh the irony.

In truck tinkering, like anything else, you win some and you lose some. Today, I lost.

My camper top hatch has a rubber piece that hangs over the tailgate to keep water, dust, etc. out. It had detached from the hatch frame and was rubbing my tailgate in a couple spots. It had rubbed the clear coat off, but was not yet through the paint. The blemishes were so minor that they wouldn't even show up in a pic for this post. I decided to fix this before it rubbed through the paint. I put some epoxy in and clamped it down to dry. (Notice the orientation of the clamp)

I raised the hatch up and then closed the tailgate to attempt to take a pic of the rubbing spots. While I was trying to get my phones camera to focus enough to see the tiny blemishes, the hatch struts collapsed under the weights of the clamps, slamming the metal bar of the clamp into my tailgate. :facepalm:Through the clear coat, through the paint, and into the metal.

I just sat down and laughed. Don't sweat the small stuff, and laugh at yourself when you deserve it. Life's better that way:thumbsup:

Thanks. I don't even want to talk about the cleanup. Ha ha. My engine bay is still far from clean:(. I don't think it will ever be the same. Worth it though.
