    Bam!

Pulled half the interior apart to find slack but dammit I made it work.
@Shmellmopwho looks good man. Damn thing is sturdy as hell! Can move the whole truck and has ZERO flex.

Looks good. I wanted to do the uniden cb in the ashtray but doesn't make sense for what I do. I need a full race radio with the district 37 channels programmed in and maybe the more/score channels.

Is that a 308 shell casing?

Yeah, had a co-worker that was just TOTALLY against firearms , but yet wanted to get a high powered rifle and was heavily into paintball?! I'd get into friendly arguments, but it was like talking to a F'N rock bro!!! Only "his laws\ways" applied???!!! I eventually confronted him that even though I own rifles I don't have "fantasies" of shooting people (i.e. paintball shooting), but yet you're labeling me as an irresponsible gun owner!!!???

Bro, I took another co-worker to an indoor range just before he went into the Navy and wouldn't let him come close to pulling the trigger of his first round until he was familiar with ALL parts of the AR and its purpose! But yeah, I guess I'm irresponsible still!!!??? I even explained the differences between the 22LR upper and how it functions compared to what you would expect with a 223\556 upper (i.e. the bolt hold open and how it operates, as an example). But, again, I'm irresponsible!?

Going back to the paintball\hypocrite guy, he was a F'N tool bro!!!

Enough of the rant though! I apologize to everyone! Carry on :oldglory: :infantry:

Silly politicians. My assault-high-capacity-gas-tank will show them.
Close! 7.62x39. So far I haven't had many coworkers of that mindset. Certainly people in college/high school with differing opinions. I don't talk to them much anymore. :playball:

Gotta love the clean oil filter, though.

Denny, just to let you know that they sell 2m HAM antennas that look VERY similar to Firestik and if you have a Baofeng or any HAM HT, just about everyone does, then you can use it in place of the CB antenna, if you want. The downside, you would have to change the antenna back to the CB antenna if you want to use your CB radio! Will you gain range with the 2m antenna... probably not because I HIGHLY DOUBT it has any "gain"??? Can't say for sure? What I can say is this, use that mount for a 2m antenna and, say, use a COBRA mag mount or other name brand CB manuf magmount for your CB setup! Now, you have both CB and HAM!!! There are many options available and open, just all depends on your "endgame" on what you want??? I have both, but don't want to use the HAM channels when offroading for various reasons! At least I can monitor though and worst case, be pretty much out in the middle of BFE and still hit a repeater site somewhere with my 55w 2m rig using my actual HAM license!!! I got my license for a reason and don't plan on jeopardizing it!!! Anyways, just throwing that antenna option out there if you don't know about it?

    Very nice mount, BTW!!!

Thanks for the advice! I've definitely considered Ham for the truck, if I did it I'd probably pull the CB setup entirely and switch to a Ham system. I already had a hard enough time settling on a place for the CB and it STILL feels awfully... "in the way." Credit for the antenna mount goes to @Shmellmopwho the rest of it is all firestik setup including the spring, mount, fire-ring cable, etc.
