I want to get a set of these, but damn are they expensive. Installed, after getting a few online quotes in my area, I'm looking at $950ish.

I still had 8/32" left on my MS2's at ~45k miles. That's just 1/3 of the useable tread gone, assuming you were to remove them at 2/32". Fairly impressive. These will likely last twice as long as many other tires. I figure even if you get close to that, it's worth the extra $$ simply due to the performance. But I hear you, the initial blow is a solid one! FYI Costco runs $70 off a set every ~3 months.

These tires are almost silent when driving around town. Quietest tire I've run on any of my TACOMAS on the highway.

I bought a set at Costco, December 15 for $800. First thing I noticed was my Taco wandered all over the rutted roads up here. Turns out my front alignment was out, glad to know (& fix) that. I like the way they ride and they seem quieter on the highway.

Yea, I had a pretty bad sticker-shock reaction when I looked up the price. I'm still running the original Dun-Flops I got back in 2011, never admitted it before as I was pretty sure they would revoke my TW privileges. Guess it's time to finally let my taco grip the road. Can anyone get tires at Costco or is that just for members? Just two of us in my house so I don't buy a lot in bulk.

I like the way you think. My gf and I were grocery shopping and I was trying to explain how to compare cereal prices by looking at the price-per-pound, so this makes a lotta sense. Tho I failed on getting the big(ger) box of cereal, even tho it would've been cheaper per bowl. I'm slightly bitter.

Sounds like your girlfriend is into instant gratification. Might not be a long term candidate. LoL

I dumped my Dunflops early. Very glad I did.

Nah, you need a membership at Costco. It's like 50 or 60 bucks a year I think. Ha that's prob why they do the $70-off tire special. It's sorta like getting a "free" membership. Another of my favorite Costco specials is the microfiber towels- 36 for $17. Work great for waxing/sealing, waterless washes, and quick wax application. Oh, and wiper blades for $7. Hope you can talk the GF into letting you get some Michelins! Tell her the truck will ride a lot better.

You may have talked me into a Costco membership haha. We're literally having a tire discussion now over a bottle of prosecco while watching Warriors/Griz. Just told her "the experts say the ride is much better". My $$, but appreciate her input.

The Costco tire package includes free balancing at each rotation where a lot of other places charge extra for balancing. Pays for the membership right there.

...and even with the other tires, I've always run equal pressure and rotate every 5k miles.

A few weeks back I just got a set from discount tire direct and it cost 630 shipped. A deal of the century IMHO. I went to 265/70r17 and they are the best tire I have used.

Got Costco membership just for the tires. Includes lifetime rotation and balance, and road hazard. Also got the $70/set off.

I had some of these on my 01 and they were great. I'm getting a set today for my 09, $840 installed. More expensive than many other choices but worth it. The thing I like most about these is that the tread pattern stays exactly the same as they wear.
Look at most other tread patterns, as they wear the shape and pattern start to change, sipes disappear, etc. These will look basically the same from day 1 to the end of their life.

These are great tires. Ive had two sets (245/75/16) on the front of my prerunner with over 100k on them. Basically ive had to replace the front ones from dry rotting in the tread and sidewall before the tread was ever worn out. I have 265/75/16 on the back and get 50-60k on them never rotating them. Next time around though, ill be getting 265/75/16s all around so i can rotate them and get more life out of the back tires

Just wondering, why would you ever run 2 different sizes?
