This is possible. It mainly happens (or I notice it) when I'm backing into the garage.

Which is of course the WORST time for surging, if your garage is anywhere near as tight a fit as mine is.

(I was just linked to existing threads about this on the forum so I'm reading them now. Hopefully my solution is in there) Need your help solving this problem with the new rock sliders on my 2016 Tacoma. The cab vibrates and moves on rubber pads above my frame and the sliders were welded too close to the cab so every bump and vibration results in the cab slamming into the sliders/frame instead of moving freely. One option would be to notch the sheet metal around the supports so the sheet metal doesn't hit it..maybe 1/4" and then try to seal it so it doesn't rust..but I'm not very fond of cutting the sheet metal on my brand new cab. Other option..cutting off the welded on sliders and welding lower..other option..body lift? Open to suggestions here.

Cut them off and have the guy who did it reweld them properly.

There are factory mounting holes that people have used for "bolt" on sliders. I would lower the sliders so that they are in line with the oem mounting points. Havnt herd anything about slamming/rubbing when mounted at that level. Just a thought, or a 1" bodylift with a 3" lift and some tires:)

Probably best way would be reweld. Can that seem be pounded (bent) out of the way? Not the right thing to do but probably the easiest, fastest, and functional solution. What happens if the fabricator welds them crooked this time?

He meant when they are rewelded to use those holes to line them up to.

Beet me to it, basically what we are saying is use the factory mounting locations as a guide to line up the sliders to be welded.

You do realize? I'm poking fun at you for calling it derping and not dipping as you stated it was.:boink:
But in the end, I guess none of us are really doing either anymore as how the product was originally used. I guess now, technically we rattle can it.

If you dont mind me asking how does that weathertech bug deflector fit and bolt up? Cause I had problems with my avs when I ordered it, hitting the grille when the hood was shut.

We should actually start calling it,

    "Rcuarc'ed"

( removable coding using a rattle can)

Although, that doesn't really flow off the tongue, so for short I'm going to start calling it

    "Racked"

Hey man about to get the ome kit with dakars for my 2016 with 885s and the nitrocharger shocks. When adding the 885s you need the trim packer for the drivers side to account for lean then you added the 1/4 spacers to level it?

Just read a Toyota service advisory that say to disconnect the negative terminal for 5 minutes to reset the AT learning. They advise to save any music you have in memory to a memory stick as you may lose it along with startup screen images. Just for those of you doing this after adding fluid.

Hahaha, it does sit up high and has tons of ground clearance. I'm guessing it rolls on 30" rims. Gangsta!
