I would put them on on the ground. You can use a jack to bring them up to the mounts.

You don't need to lift the pieces above your head. Just my opinion. I don't know.

What's the ideal drill bit size for these bolts?

 

A little smaller than the size of the holes in the skid.

 

Never got a tracking number.

My set came in today. Still a few weeks out till I'm able to paint and install...thinking of going with an olive drab/army green.

 

I installed my skids today. It all went pretty well. I did it with no help...which I wouldn't recommend. I also did in the rain which I also wouldn't recommend.

 

Not too bad by myself....the rain part i agree..lol....i had swamp butt today

 

The last section kicked my ass. I ended up scratching the shit out if it before calling a buddy to come over to help. Oh well, it's not like they're not going to get scratched up anyway. That's why I bought an extra can of paint.

 

A jack and jack stands are very helpful

 

Jack stands....pfft. I'd get the skid on my stomach and roll sideways so my hip would jam it in pace and then screw it in.

 

A human jack stand..i like it..lol

 

....a mark stand.....

 

I put it on my thighs and use my legs as pivot points to get the skids up. I've done plenty by myself with no jack laying on my back.

 

Still waiting on mine, you said fedex tracking numbers were emailed or what?
