    We have already established that the big washer cover thing was not necessary as the bearing is a sealed unit long ago.

    Thank you and now the REAL test of how competent of this replacement will be how quickly I can remove 4 bolts, disconnect the carridan flange from the center bearing flange, unkey the key, remove the 134 ft/lb nut, remove the washer cover thingy, put it back together.

    Don't rush man. That's how mistakes happen. It's not worth it. 10 minutes of time save is not worth 45 of fixing the mistake which happened from trying to save 10 minutes.

    Interestingly enough the backstory on my ordeal went, after I brought in my driveshaft over to the shop to get it installed, they looked at my new one and said that it didn't seem like it would be heavy duty enough for the truck to handle.

    After the install and all went mounted up, I have NEVER been more happy with a mod before. Moral of the story is that looks can be deceiving (same can be said for OE's what appears to be oversized and stout CB. Haha yeah right, stout...) and don't always take the first piece of opinion or advice you are given and take it as gospel.

    Well we'll see if it's heavy duty enough by how long it lasts mileage wise. Oem or aftermarket oem styles can last from 15k to 100k miles.
