Hmmmm. I honestly don't remember a switch on the rears. Of course the only one I had to look for the switch was my front passenger. Because that's the one I messed up. Not sure.

Maybe someone else wiil chime in with the fix. :notsure:

My only other guess is the switch is in a different location on the rears. The fronts are slightly different. IIRC.

LOL, after taking it apart and putting it back together, no more double lock. Not sure what I did, but I impressed myself.

Damn. I don't know how to help. But I'll give this a bump for you. Did put the cables back on and make sure that rod for the outside handle was back on?

All cables are on and the rod for the outside handle is on. The panel is still off and I can even reach in and press down the engaging bar for the outside hand and no luck.

Does anyone think it is possible to access the backside of the striker and possible cut the bolts so the door will open? My fear, which looks to becoming more and more true, is that I may have to cut the door out totally and replace.

My only suggestion is at this point, is to get in there with a screwdriver and pry apart the whole thing. Then try to get it to release just by playing around with it. I wouldn't be willing to cut the door. I'd rather just replace that part than the door.

Anyone know how different it would be to replace the front door actuator motor? Any extra clips or screws that need to be taken out?

just did this repair, thanks for the info. the micro switches were in the front doors only. there is the very real possibility to have the door not open if assembled incorrectly as noted in the earlier post so make sure the latch mechanism releases when pulling the metal lever(unlocked) BEFORE closing the door. that problem is caused by the circled area in the pic, make sure that round plastic circle is inside the metal slot. it could pop out upon disassembly.

So I just did all four of my doors, had a few bumps here and there but got them all done. Had the double unlock issue when I had my key in and then closed my driver. I followed the info provided on here and was able to correct it. My problem still now is when I hit my alarm all my doors will lock But when I hit the unlock button on my remote my doors only unlock first thing in the morning. Once I get off work and throughout the rest of the day the alarm disengages but the doors don’t unlock, so I have to use my key. Anybody else have this issue or any suggestions? I just find it weird that it works only first thing in the morning.
