This, then you could reach an open end wrench in there or maybe a air ratchet wrench. My bolts also started to strip even though I used the correct size metric wrench..

I had my frame swapped, I think the guy tightened them to hell haha

But yeah I should've had those and the steering rack bushings done with the frame job

Finally swapped mine over, not a hard job that doesn't take very long. I spent most of the time fishing out the nut on the driver side that fell into my bumper. Took a few minutes to locate it and a few more minutes trying to get to it. Can tell right away on how much the old bushings made the front fenders sagged when comparing the new height difference with the new installed bushings. I'll post pictures of the old bushings later.

The stock radiator support bushings are DIRECTLY responsible for the infamous front end "Taco Lean" which everyone refers to. I'm glad you got it done and definitely enjoy the permanent mod!

What? No they aren't lol, Battery and fuel tank on one side are what's responsible. Bad bushings are going to exaggerate it, but they aren't "DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE" for it. COme on maaaaaaan.

Ya, they are not fully responsible lol. I still has the lean, so I fixed it with a 1/4" spacer on driverside

They definitely do exaggerate it. I am actually curious as to what is exactly causing then if that is the case because prior to doing the bushings I never had notable lean it was not visible, but you could see the moment you took a tape measure to it, but after doing them both sides are exactly the same in height. I've never tossed a 1/4 spacer or nothing on it. Yes this was prior to the battery relocate also.

Smaller bushing on top...but also have a 1/2" bodylift

Well, First of all, you have aftermarket suspension and that leveled you out. A stock tacoma with a full gas tank has a noticeable lean. Then, because of all the offroading you do your bushings were trashed and that exaggerated the lean. I bet your Driver side bushing was a tad more trashed than the passenger side BECAUSE of the weight on that side. Fixing the bushings made it level out as well as your aftermarket suspension.

Oh hang on. I forgot to specify that given that you are running aftermarket suspension, with a lift. These will properly level you out and prevent body lean.

So in summary. These will fix body lean, the aftermarket suspension will fix your cab lean if you run the springs on at least 600# and up. (Probably 650# honestly.)

Obviously the drivers side of the support hole was a bit more oblong instead of perfectly circular.

Stock springs are a bit on the light side honestly. I think they are 550# if I remember correctly.

If you plan to run these on a stock suspension. You will need to do more work to rectify the lean issues.

Also something to note, most people that run aftermarket suspension have already compensated for Taco Lean, so if their bushings are toast, putting the poly bushings in might tip them over to a passenger lean

If they are running the spacer then yeah it'll tip them over opposite lean most likely. Lol.

75lb battery, Allpro plate bumper with a 10k winch and aftermarket suspension. Still have to adjust for the lean with 700 lb springs. I always measure from the bottom of the body mount, the ones next to the front fender.

Damn. You got a lot of weight up there. You may want to consider battery relocation to the bed or elsewhere.

It doesn't surprise me you have some sort of lean going on even with 700's.

Thanks for posting this thread. Today I replaced the rad support bushings & sway bar bushings with the ES kit as recommended. I put the thick bushing on top & had no issues with the hood. I couldn't find the torque for the rad support bushing bolt & nut so I torqued them to 30 ft/lbs. The job was easy. I had a rattling noise from the front end that was driving me crazy....it's gone. The front end feels stiffer now. Next weekend I'll replace the body mount bushings also.
