Hello TW, new member to sight but have been on sight threads for couple weeks now.

Purchased my 08 double cab about 4 months ago and couldn't be more pleased with it. Since purchase I have installed touchscreen head unit, but just ordered set of Billstein for front to level it out. My measurements are 21 in front and 24 1/2 in back ,I think previous owner installed aal in back because there is no block installed already, and I don't think that much lift is factory but new to all the suspension stuff. Hear is a question that I'm sure is simple to most of ya but would like some input, with the billstein on 2 1/2 it will still be lower than the back, should I invest in coil springs or will the stock coils and billsteins be good and maintain the good ride. Do mostly rural road riding, the most I would go off-road is down some dirt roads to fish. I appreciate any input and thanks for letting me be part of TW group.

 

Welcome to TW, coils are cheap, if your going to take it all apart, add some new coils. you would get a better ride with less preload. just my 2 cents.

Thanks for info on coils, any suggestions and with coils, what would set the Billsteins to to get level or close to level? By the way upstate SC about 1/2 hour from Spartanburg

 

I would contact Headstrong Offroad, tell them what you have and what you want to do. Highly recommended on TW.

Assuming you don't need the capacity in the rear, you could remove the AAL and not have to lift the front as much.

'Leveling' is overrated. Trucks are engineered with a slight rake for a reason.
