    I've put a 2x4 in a house, doesn't make me a structural engineer.

If you weren't across the country, I'd put one on your truck so you could see how strong it is.

Like I said I'm not trying to talk shit about your products. I think they are good smart products for light duty use.

Ok since you know your product so well I'll ask again, how much weight is it rated for?

    I'd comfortably say 500 pounds.

You're trying to argue an irrelevant point. The creator and builder of this product just told you that the rack is plenty strong enough to hold an RTT and 2 people. What the fuck else do you want? "Thin Steel" is an invalid argument because you could build a bridge out of fucking toothpicks if you used enough of them and put them together correctly.

My POS home depot rack is rated for 500 lbs. I have personally seen a voodoo rack and, while I have no idea what it can support, can tell it's way stronger than mine. Just my opinion, I am not a structural engineer either.

Ok so 2 guys go out 4 wheeling, 220 lbs each. Plus tent weight plus hi lift and anything else that's mounted on it, your 500 lbs is in the rear view. All I'm saying is before you come out and say it's superman strong, test it, and not use some random guys word.

If Chad says his rack is good for 500#, I would put two people in the tent above it, and sleep like a baby under it.

Does this mean that if I argue with you like an idiot, I'll get a free bed rack?

Wow so name calling just upped your internet cred 2 points. If asking for a weight rating on a weight bearing product makes me an idiot, then you nailed it.

My apologies if I hurt your feelings, didn't know I directly referenced you. I have no problem asking about a weight rating, but arguing with a vendor about their own product is something else.
