Ticking Sound in Muffler

    I have been hearing a ticking sound in my muffler upon start up. It only occurs for a short time when the engine is cold, then it stops. Any idea what could cause this? Is it a bad thing?

    Gray wire, Some lights in the bed area, and some character marks throughout.
    Muffler bearing is probably shot. Sounds like you may have cracked the bearing housing and lost the bearings. Sucks man.

    Metal expansion due to rapid temperature increase in a short period of time. Totally normal.

    Um.........There are no bearings in the muffler buddy. The muffler bearing is just a car/truck forum joke. Kind of like blinker fluid.

    They don't exist.
