Glad to be a new member thanks for the help in advance. Husband with our truck on the day we brought it home. This was before the work we have done. No current pics of the truck for some reason lol. But what we needed to know is do we need to use a special type of anti freeze in the truck? We do in our 2006 Chevy so we were wondering. Not mechanics so we don't know lol. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to TW. You may need to post this question in its own thread to get attention/answers. On the other hand, it does say you're female so you may have a billion guys show up... Maybe one will know an answer.

    No worries.

I buy wrecked Toyota trucks and rebuild them. I have used green, pink, red and any other quality brand antifreeze in all my trucks. There has never been a premature failure of water pumps or radiators.

Others will chime in and tell you, you must use Toyota long life antifreeze, but its not necessary.

The best answer is to replace radiator every 6-8 years. They really are a disposable item and quite cheap.

That's new info to me. Isn't stock fluid pink? When I bought mine, it had green fluid in it, but I wasn't too worried. I didn't know they should be replaced every 6-8 years either. Good info.

Mist people don't plan on owning a vehicle as long as us Toyota owners do.

Trade in and its someone else's problem.
