Those look identical to a pair of LED strips I purchased cheap from China. They work ok at low amps, but heat up too much when attached to my truck's electrical system. You really need to choke down the current or the LEDs will literally fry themselves. There is no heat sink and those types of LEDs run really hot. After a while, some burn out and unit gets dim. To much voltage and whole circuit board starts to smoke.

I got mine at the dealer. I think that's your best bet in the long run. Painting on that plastic chrome won't last.

Do you feel the 3M tape will hold the letters on? I like those grills but it seems like they could have come up with a better plan for those letters.

Well since you mention it. He gave me his old grille also (since he wanted the chrome honeycomb one) plus $100. Then I sold his grille on CL for $60. Sooooo.. like $30.

People here in TW aren't too thrilled about the chrome grilles. But i guess you'd be surprised how many people on CL want them.

I've used the same 3M tape on lots of things and it held up great. I'm with you that they should've came up with a better way to fab those letters on the grill but I have faith in the 3M tape. Only time will tell though buddy.

I used 3m tape on my letters and haven't had a problem. It has been almost a year now too. I went through a whole summer and a nasty winter without an issue.
I used 3m tape on an hid ballast once. I stuck it to the core support and a year later I sold the car and removed the hids and I had to use a screwdriver to pry the ballast off. It's pretty strong tape.

If you're grill is one of the base grills that they call "argent" (it's almost the same color as the magnetic gray metallic) you can have it painted. Mine cost $100 at a local body shop and looks great.

Washed my truck yesterday. Noticed today only part of the tread is dirty (reverse chalk test?). Been two weeks or more since tire install and it's gotten much warmer. Also noticed the nobbies on one rear tire haven't even worn off. So they've been over inflated since install.

    9189d757201111a7ab511aadb34bad9e_2c119d641bdcf50f59e4b97659f6e29014ad5fa0.jpg

Checked pressure after getting to work.
    FRONT Driver 45 psi
    Front Pass 42 psi
    Rear Driver 41psi
    Rear Pass 41 psi

I lowered the front to 36 and rear to 35. We shall see how it goes. Need to figure out what the cold PSI needs to be for me.

If you use 3M VHB you could probably rip the entire mesh grille off just by yanking on the letters if you really wanted to before the letters would ever come off lol.

I have some GtekFab door sill protectors that also use this stuff and the first one I laid down to tape onto the door sill, I made a slight mistake in alignment. Too bad so sad for me, it's stuck there for all eternity now.
