I'm assuming the 217k miles on it had more to do with it. The alignment on it was bad when I bought it.

Yeah that would make sense. I probably should just rebuild my whole front at some point as my 260k is slowly taking out pieces one at a time. Did an idler arm and tie rod already in the last 5k

I'm sure that's how it will be with my 4Runner. I think next year I will replace a bunch of stuff on the front end.

I'm trying to delay it in hopes that when I LT it most of that will be replaced anyways. From what I've seen of my buddies 1st gen a lot will be.
Why do you need air if your going swimming?

    Does your 4runner even run...

So far it is good. Helps the most down low, wheeling and city driving. Still not "fast" but driving at 8000ft doesnt feel like a punishment anymore. lol

    The mileage has been interesting...

    1st tank: 18.5mpg ~250 miles 50/50 NA/Supercharged
    2nd tank 11.4 mpg ~100 miles
    3rd tank 22.4 mpg ~ 100 miles

Broke because I have to get an engine fixed. The thing you guys don't realize is I'm 19, own 2 cars, one of which is a classic sports car, and live by myself. This is all with me having to pay off a private christian university. And no the parents aren't helping. Trust me I'm more than capable of getting what I want.

Quick question: i know i SHOULD take the time to research it myself instead of buggin the forum, and that has absolutely been my intention but here i am 3 months later and have yet to find the spare time to get caught in the pitfall of the interwebs...

I have a 3rd gen 4x4 i picked up and the previous owner had done the trd front strut/ land cruiser 8wrap spring/shock lift. It does sit about 2" higher in the rear than the front which i would prefer over sagging ass syndrome as i see many 4runners suffer from, but overall would prefer it more level. If anyone has this similar set up, what is missing in the front to get it more even?

More importantly: The truck leans front driver side. About an 1 1/4" lower than passenger side. The rear is more or less even now that i swapped out the rear links and panhard for adjustables. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there any other way to try correcting it other than installing new struts? Any ideas what might be causing her to lean like she has a flat tire?

    Thanks for any input.

Well when you hate on people who don't fab a twin turbo set up out of wood and unicorn "sauce," and cant fix the headgasket. You are going to get some shit... for everything you say and do.

Old does not a classic make...

I have the TRD springs in front. if you want higher you have to move the spring perch "up" I haven't done that because it would preload the spring, and not have as much travel as I understand it.

I do know if you have "lean" you can get shims or spacers for both the front and rear. rear goes on top of the spring, front goes on top of the top plate. They are usually less than 1/4 in and only go on the drivers side.

    Hope that helped.

Maybe you don't, that's your opinion. Some people do. To be honest, I don't care either way. It's still a fun car that gets lots of attention and people like it

someone is taking the internets a little too serious today. Its not a classic champ, 50,60s and early 70s (maybe). 80s... no.

Ive owned a classic car, they're money pits.

This gives me something to consider as far as the outcome from lifting the front atleast with those struts. But now i am thinking, if the stock Tundra struts fit, shouldnt that mean a front shock/spring lift from a Tundra fit as well? Or am i just an ignorant noob? Lol
